Matt. The cure for sea sickness is - Drive the boat. Not this boat but rent a boat and drive it. wires your brain is it understands the motion is directed by you. I had the seasick issue my whole life but because I loved scuba diving I still got on the boat...and got sick. Then I bought a used boat because I was living in Cape Coral on a Gulf Access canal and I never got sick and never got sick as a passenger on other boats. It works.

Nice video. I will be doing BA First Class from MIA to LHR. I did the same route on AA last year on the 777. I flew BA First from ORD to LHR three years ago on a 747. I was not impressed. Neither of those flights hold a candle to Qatar's A380 First Class. Yes, the champagne will get to you. I am glad that you had an awesome time.

You can't compare First Class in a noisy 747 or 777 with First Class in a super quiet and comfy A380. The A380 makes the difference , in all classes. And First Class in a BA A380 offers more privacy than Qatar First Class in a A380. By the way, BA will upgrade First and Business class to new seats in all its A380s.

I flew Silver on business back when they flew Saab 340’s instead. The ATR’s look like a nice upgrade. The AC in the Saab was barely functional and the ride was hot and loud. Glad to see the airline is still chugging along though. They fill a niche.

It is too bad that no major US airline ever acquired the A380. It might fly into some airports within the United States on whatever foreign airlines operate it. There are now only 3 major US airlines left, American, Delta, and United Airlines. Other former major US Airlines, like Eastern, Northwest Orient, and TWA, no longer exist. Eastern Airlines went belly up, and closed up shop in 1991. Northwest Orient got bought out by Delta, and TWA got bought out by American Airlines. All these airlines did have the 747's in their fleet, but they have all now retired the 747. The 747 and the A380 were the only double decker aircraft ever produced. The 747's upper deck only took up the first 1/3 of the aircraft, but the A380, both levels took up the entire length of the aircraft. Both aircraft are now out of production, so obviously the 3 remaining major US airlines will never acquire the A380. The 777, or as some call it, the Triple 7, has now replaced the 747 for most of the airlines that operated it. The Triple 7 is a pretty good sized plane that can accommodate between 300 and 400 passengers, but us about 20 feet shorter than the 747 was, and has no upper deck. The only other aircraft ever produced that was bigger than the 747 and the A380 was the Lockheed C-5A, but that one was only a military transport aircraft, and never an airliner.

CEO for new pacific is trash. Guy doesn’t know what the f**k he is doing. We have 3 planes which 1 was being hold hostage because company couldn’t pay for the repairs after it was done, we got kicked out of Ontario double tree for the company not paying the bill, one of our flight attendants was accused of sexual harassment 3 times, a coworker and two hotel guest were assaulted and a police report on him and he still working for the company. Can’t keep a flight attendant director of management in place because they all keep quoting because management and the CEO keeps asking us to break FAA regulations. We gave up on flying to Asia now and solely focused on charter flights now. 70% of the company was sold off to a company called Elevate Aviation, and tons of lay offs happened because the company doesn’t have money. The CEO had to borrow money from of the directors in the company to bail out a plane for maintenance. This company is a mess. Do not apply for this company. You’re better off applying for any other airline but this one.

You flew Delta and actually got off the tarmack in under 6 hours?? I've flown them twice. First time, they dropped a case of water on my head. (Who stores water in an overhead?) Second time, we sat on the runway over five hours while they worked on an engine. Got that fixed and the other engine went on the fritz. FINALLY they changed planes but, of course, the gate was on the OTHER side of Atlanta airport!

What would be more ironic would be if he took a city bus to the airport, then after going through TSA boarding a bus to the F gates just to board yet an “airbus” that’s actually another bus. And you only “flew” at only 70 mph.

The A380 is my totally fav flying carpet in this day and age Matt. The enormity of it once on board is staggering. I have flown on BA's A380's 6 times now ( 5 times in First and once in CW upper cabin, on trips to Hong Kong, Jo Burg, & San Francisco ). Sadly BA don't have Cameras fitted so you can't watch what's happening because BA is run by miserable buggers more interested in £$ than fun. I took my Mum to the Maldives a few years ago ( because she's worth it! ) and flew with Emirates in Business Class, but all on 777's. The business class on Emirates was as good as BA First for sure.

I binge-watched your series about the Faroe Islands - looked like a brilliant trip, but for me looked like a tad too much walking on dodgy ground, not that I wouldn't go, oh no, I would go in a shot and may well do some time as it's not too far from the UK. I've done some Amtrak (I'm Australian). 1: From San Fran to Denver (30 hours) in coach, which was made ever-so-fantastic by the people I met in the viewing car and the Parks staff who come onboard to describe the area we travel through. TOP train trip I've ever done, because of the company I met. 2: From New York to Atlanta in coach. Nice trip but nothing outstanding. Was expecting lovely scenery but it wasn't anything special 3: West Coast Seattle to Los Angeles. "Business", which has really nice seats and little features like reserved seating and no hassles at check-in. And again, the scenery was spectacular, both through the forested areas to the north, and the ocean nearing LA. 4: Washington to Orlando. Roomette. Not worth the cost; claustrophobic, room attendant that didn't want to be there... My neighbouring room-mate was the only part of the journey that made it fun. Again, scenery was restricted and often seemed like a dumped-car yard when near civilisation. Now looking at doing this trip, most probably coach. One thing that I WOULD suggest is to eat in the dining car if it's on that route. Proper meals on crockery with table-cloth and flowers, and the opportunity to meet travellers from all over the world. Dining car dinners cost dollars, but they are damned worth it.
