If it were as wonderful as the author suggests, then in the Septuagint manuscripts from Qumran we would find fragments of the Old Testament that are the source of quotations in the New Testament. The author cleverly manipulates and completely ignores the fact that in Qumran there is NOT a single LXX source of an Old Testament quotation in the New Testament, which in the LXX contains God's name written differently than the Greek Kyrios or "blank place". If it were so obvious, there would definitely be a name in these sources. But who knows about this? An author who consciously doesn't talk about it... 🤣
@JehovahsWitnessHistoryOnFilm
@JehovahsWitnessHistoryOnFilm 8 сағат бұрын
I believe the author only wanted to make known that the LXX scriptures available to and read by the first century Christians contained variations of the Divine Name. No manipulating since nothing more than that was the topic intended to be discussed. There are other videos here that expounds more on the use of the Divine Name in the first century Christian era.

@@JehovahsWitnessHistoryOnFilm It is one thing what writings the Lord Jesus and the Apostles read, and another thing is what Septuagint (LXX) manuscripts the inspired Old Testament writers quoted from in the New Testament. But that was later. It would be worth honestly admitting that NONE of the available Qumran LXX manuscripts, which is the source of the NT quotation, have God's name. But why write about it?

Please view the other videos on this channel about the Divine Name. They do show the sources the New Testament authors used.

@@JehovahsWitnessHistoryOnFilm I invite you to my channel, where I show, among other things, that Polish NWT is translated directly from English to Polish. The Bible is not translated in this way nowadays. Apparently the anonymous NWT translators in Poland do not know the biblical languages...
@JehovahsWitnessHistoryOnFilm
@JehovahsWitnessHistoryOnFilm 7 сағат бұрын
Yes, that is the method used for most of the 300 languages the NWT has been translated into. Where available, standard 'orthodox' lexicons, bible dictionaries and bible translators are consulted. Such is mentioned in the video series on this channel; "New World Translation Curiosities".

I read of it already. It is interesting reading, but is Megiddo Mosaic (230 C.E) or Brutius inspired from God's Holy Spirit? By this time apostacy and corruption was well established. Acts 20:29,30; Romans 16:17, 18; 2 Cor 11:13-15 and 1 Tim 4:1-6

Jehovah shows how "wise in heart" he is when he dealt with Jonah's anger as he helped him see that the Ninevah people were more important than a simple plant and that he valued them and their repentance and that he can be moved by honest and sincere actions.

I remember as a child when she came to a JW convention at the old Tiger Stadium and did a interview. This could be the one. But it saddens me that she died with a broken heart because they took her beloved daughter from her and had to watch her daughter from the sideline while she became a super star.

FIRST!!!! NO ONE questions how King James Authorized a bible and WHAT SCHOLARS were used in 1611. Nor the Revised standard. funny how these people demand that WE have all of these fancy titles... While they themselves are so under educated that they are willing to celebrate easter bunny rabbits laying eggs... Jlining wars aand supporting troops on both sides of a war, and more. WE DONT OWE ANYONE ANY explanations on ANYTHING we believe...ESPECIALLY not some church person ... these churches barely OPEN a bible more than 15 times within a week at their churches. Any given sunday, they will bring up different references less than 5 times. WE on the other hand will make a reference well over 40 times. REGARDLESS of what bible you wanna use... we have them there... these haters need to go sit down somewhere. We are the bible students....aka JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, and if you dont like us, then open your bible and say it... but in turn Im going to ask, "can your fellow parishioners navigate a bible? " no. Heck you likely dont know very many of your fellow church members at all.

As a former Born Again Christian, no Baptist pastor ever told me God’s name Psalm 83:18. I now know everything about Christianity. I now know what every ‘so called’ Christian religion believes. I have read the entire Bible. I know where all the pagan holidays and the trinity came from. Ask a JehovahsWitness for a free Bible Study. We let the Bible do the talking. If it isn’t in the Bible it is false teaching. When John died on Patmos after receiving the Revelations from Jesus. THE BIBLE WAS COMPLETED!! Anything after that is false teaching. If it didn’t come from Jesus or his disciples, it is false teaching. Jehovah WOULD NOT leave us hanging. It is nice to see brothers defending the Faith by using what’s in the Bible. Again, we let the Bible do the talking!!!!

I don't agree with you, as a Christian and exjw. However, I would say I've never known a JW like you, who is familiar with outside sources and even owns multiple common Bible versions and other Christian books. You are also much easier to listen to and entertain then any JW leader I've known or seen. they should have put you on the Governing Body. I've known the witnesses from the inside so I know much about them, but you make some fair points. I personally feel that I know the Bible more now then I ever did in all my years of upbringing in the Jehovah's Witness religion. I feel closer to our saviour and can truly stand and recognize myself as who He says I am, a child of God, born again, redeemed by His blood, an overcomer, a citizen of heaven, forgiven and have moved from death to life. My experience in the Jehovah's Witnesses only showed me coldness, despair, emptiness, darkness, and the failings of man made religion. I could never accept JW doctrine again, unless they drop many things. How can I believe such things as 1914, the invisible return of Christ, Jesus being a created angel, or other Watchtower teachings? Jesus, however is my living hope, the anchor and author of my faith.

*TU on the video!* Comparing a number of translations Scholar Jason BeDuhn in his book Truth in Translation says, "The translators of the KJV, NRSV, NIV, NAB, NASB, AB, TEV and LB all approached the text of John 1:1 already believing certain things about the Word, certain creedal simplifications of John’s characterization of the Word, and made sure that the translation came out in accordance with their beliefs. Their bias was strengthened by the cultural dominance of the familiar KJV translation which, ringing in their ears, caused them to see “God” where John was speaking more subtly of ‘‘a god” or “a divine being.” Ironically, some of these same scholars are quick to charge the NW translation with “doctrinal bias” for translating the verse literally, free of KJV influence, *following the most obvious sense of the Greek. It may very well be that the NW translators came to the task of translating John 1:1 with as much bias as the other translators did. It just so happens that their bias corresponds in this case to a more accurate translation of the Greek."* LOL ... Off the top of my head another one comes to mind, Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: KJV The NJB (a Catholic Bible), and ESV agree with the NWT. who, although he was existing in God’s form, did not even consider the idea of trying to be equal to God. - NWT Who, being in the form of God, did not count equality with God something to be grasped. - NJB who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped - ESV

I'm not a Trinitarian. And although I'm not Pentacostal, I believe the Bible teaches the Oneness doctrine. That there is one God(Jehovah) who is Holy and is a Spirit and he was "in Christ" The only distinction in the Godhead is between the human nature of Jesus and the divine nature of Jehovah both residing in the body of Jesus. Which is why sometimes he spoke as a man, not knowing certian things and sometimes speaking as God, knowing all things.

They are changing the Bible. To agree with yours. After years of doing side by side comparisons with many modern translations with the Authorized, I find that every modern translation have more in common with the NWT than the KJV.
@JehovahsWitnessHistoryOnFilm

And what's more surprising is that so many of the modern translations are works AFTER the NWT was released. Are they actually imitating the NWT?
