shallow drip tray, intermittent pump action on the hot tap, small 1.4L tank, broken app, it clearly slides when locking in the portafilter one-handed. these shortcomings are unacceptable for a machine that retails for like 4500 - 5000€

@primacoffeeequipment3 күн бұрын
If the grind sprays off to the side, the flapper needs to be wiped off and reinstalled.

DO NOT USE CAFFEWERKS I purchased the medium volume pump system from Caffewerks for over £600 (including tax and shipping). Within just two months of use, the pump completely failed. After contacting Caffewerks, they issued me a mere £119 refund for a faulty product they shipped to the UK. This does not come close to covering the cost, and they have outright refused to honor their warranty. Their post-purchase customer support is appalling-they seem to care only about securing your payment and not about resolving issues. The failed pump forced me to close my business for two weeks, and dealing with their unhelpful customer service has been a nightmare. They take up to two days to respond to every email, making the process unnecessarily slow and frustrating. As for the pump itself, it’s completely unusable-every time I turn it on, it trips the mains power. This issue is through no fault of my own, but the company has refused to take responsibility. If you’re a small business, stay far away from Caffewerks. They are unreliable, unsupportive, and their products are not fit for purpose.

Hi I really can't decide between the Breville Precision, Techniform KBT, and OXO 9 Cup. Is the extra $100 worth it?
@primacoffeeequipment9 күн бұрын
It depends on how you're using the brewer. For simple, repeatable hot coffee, the KBT is probably the best option. If you like to tinker and explore iced coffee/cold brew the Breville is a great choice.

They should make it all black anodized aluminum body, real glass water tank, fix the carafe to be all stainless steel (maybe in coop with a company already known for great steel carafes like alfi) and sell that thing for 800 usd. Safe buy. But this? No thanks. I am going to wait for the v2.

This thing is horrible. So many issues with the design and so. Here is a simple list. 1. There is virtually no grips and so the smooth surface just got no grips. 2. The locking mech is a joke. It always misalign and so you will end up forcing it in and dent the whole thing by twisting. 3. The grind quality is extremely poor. If you compare this to Kingrinder this is not even funny anymore. Kingrinder P0 P1 P2 will win for a huge margin. If you go with K6 ($99) and you will be set for everything else. 4. The handle is also very very poorly designed so it created a twisted force (torque) and so it hurts to grind. The worst is it takes a few minutes to grind 20G of coffee and what a pain.

@@Screenager48 For the drain tank, yes, the drain lines are just draped inside the opening. If using as a water reservoir, there is a pick-up tube with a custom lid available for the Scepter to keep it sealed off.

I couldn't open mine. The lid get stuck every time I leave the content for a like 1-2 hours. The amount of content was not even one sip left at the bottom of the mug, and it was not even that hot because I opened and closed it from time to time to drink. When I wanted to wash it, it couldn't be open. Every darn time, had to use metal instruments to widen the gap between the lid and the mug so that the air could go in so I could open it. These attempts have ruined the rim of the mug and my wrist!

Not keen on the separation of the price points by ‘beginner’ to ‘expert’. Whilst I understand someone starting out may be more conservative with their spending, but it must be recognised that the equipment you can afford has no correlation to skill.

How do you power the refriegerator and the espresso machine? Do you use the power generator or just find a place near the outlet plugs?

This particular setup drawns power from the Caffewerks Connect Cube, which includes 4 outlets. The Connect Cube would need to be plugged into a wall or generator.

It depends how long your coffee sits but yes, after long enough the heating plate can degrade the flavor. If you're drinking it all within 30 minutes, I don't think it matters either way.
