My camera had problem with dial mode selection become too sensitive, even if i don't rotate the dial, it auto change the mode. Can you help me to find the solution for this problem?

I had the 'remove lens cap' error on a DSC-H10. I did two things. First, use a tiny flat chinese screw driver and gently scratch the three contacts on the battery and also very carefully not to bend - scratch the three contacts for the battery inside the camera. Then I kept the Set button depressed (center of the joystick button) then powered up the camera. The lens did extend and the camera is working. For the contact cleaning, always do this on old electronics - the copper surface gets invisible oxidation which is reducing the electrical contact. Once cleaned, put very little dielectric grease on the battery contacts, then insert the battery in the camera to grease the camera contacts as well. This grease will prevent future oxidation

My Sony HX200v keep switching on and off automatically till the entire battery is drained or till I unplug it from the charger. Do you know what the problem is?

I had this issue on my D70. I could see that two of the pins in the CF card slot had been bent. One was completely flattened down. I used a very small flat head screwdriver to very gently straighten the pins. Then I cautiously pushed in a CF card. On first attempt, I still had the error - that's when I found the second bent pin. I also found the CF card was faulty as there was no display after the pins were fixed. I took about 10 minutes to make sure I did this very carefully. Hope this helps someone.
