So nice to see you back Holly! I am in the process of analyzing my data from my study that finished a week ago - and I tell you...the perfectionism and the procrastination is real!! It has followed me throughout my entire doctoral journey - I guess it is just how I am wired :) It took me doing the research to finally get over the "imposter syndrome" that has plagued my for a very very long time...I 100% know what I am talking bout, and really, there is no one who can do what I am in doing in the way that I am doing it. Period. Also...I have this on a post-it on my screen - "Perfection isn't possible..but PROGRESS is :) " and that has really helped! I see you have been mentioning Notion again...anyway you would be willing to share a template of your basic notion setup? It looked beautiful and simple. I always think with notion that complicated will be better...but it is not :( Nice to see you again! And keep PROGRESSING!

Ooh man, I relate to all of this so much-that sense of not having a plan (or just having a concept of a plan haha) has really been an issue for me in moving forward with my dissertation. I get so easily overwhelmed and feel totally lost when things change with my research, as they inevitably always do! Right on time! I spent the last 3 days building the perfect plan for my thesis writing. Today, the first day went by and I am already behind 😂 There is no point in rigid plans with ADHD Good luck Holly!

As someone who recently accepted their curly hair and also struggled with day 2 hair: DRENCH IT on day two. Just put your hair under the water. I sometimes add a tiny bit more of curling cream to my hair for frizz and then I diffuse until almost dry. Then I let it air dry. It's helped a lot.

AHH I'm so happy to see your PhD saga again! I'm applying for doctorates atm and life is getting insane...any plans to do study with me streams? I totally understand if it's not doable for you though...

I recognise that hair-twirling mid-thought process (and the cognitive rigidity!) I cannot count the number of notebooks I use on my desk. Thanks for the company and camaraderie, Holly. When someone asks me how I'm 'getting on with the PhD', my go-to answer is 'slowly moving forward'!
