Great video, thanks! I've owned or co-owned 4 Bonanzas: an E33C, an A36, a V35A TC and now an F33A. Can't say enough good things about them.

What if the owner is an IA and they simply missed something in their annual?

Even IA's with 20 years miss things. It happens, we are all human as long as nobody got hurt or there was no accident, then simply bring the aircraft into compliance. There is no need to report anyone or anything.

I would like to see Doge recommend removal of the annual requirement from the FAA regulations for private aircraft owners not flying for hire with 4 seats or less. Any congressmen that don't adhere to doge recommendations should be called out and held accountable to voters.

I can tell you from experience of getting signed off as a Civilian Experienced Mechanic. Its not how much you know but it does play a factor. I look more of it as how bad you want it and prove that you are going to do what it takes to get out there as a certified tech and perform good mx while abiding to the rules and regulations. Aviation is very old school if anyone is curious. The knowledge is free on the internet to the books! Study as much as you can and try to understand the functions and properties of an airplane. Causes and effects. Etc. Working in the field can take plenty of time to actually gain all the practical experience folks say you "need" but i see it everyday where individuals are stuck doing interior work day in and day out. STUDY! remember Knowledge is free! and of course so many youtube videos out there today will teach and help you understand what your curious about. Last but not least itll be up to the ASI to consider giving you an opportunity. Self learning is a blessing that we all overlook. Good luck to all.

At 7:06, when you look at the sleeve and the flare together, the flare appears to be crooked (i.e. seems like it the end of the tube is at the slight angle), is that right?

The good old doctor killer. It may soon be yet dethroned by the Pilatus, since that's the new hotness in terms of rich men showing off. Either way, it's just people flying too much aircraft for their practice and skill level. These are not meant to be flown twice a year when it's time to go to the summer house. You have to fly them all the time.
@brycebuildsit
@brycebuildsit 5 күн бұрын
I think the cirrus is more what has replaced it as far as rich guys showing off goes. Most of the Pilatus have a Pilot they pay to fly it for them
@Maniac742
@Maniac742 5 күн бұрын
@@brycebuildsit Still an awful lot of Pilatus deaths with single pilots in them. Granted, Cirrus has a lot of fatalities too, but the Cirrus is less complicated to operate. Cirrus really has two things working against it, the Continental engine running it is less than stellar and the aircraft's stall behaviors are dramatic. That can spell doom for lesser practiced pilots.

Gonna have to disagree that the 43-13 is acceptable. If you have a tool like a flare, it will have instructions from the manufacturer that need to be followed. If you have a tool without manufacturer instructions then you have a useless tool. While the 43-13 will cover acceptable results, it will in no way tell you how to get those results with any specific tool. It's very lazy and improper to suggest that the 43-13 is usable in most situations. It is not. If you read 9-30 (b) that covers metal tube inspection and fabrication not one sentence covers the actual use of ANY flare tool. None, not one. It only tells you inspection and flare/tube specification. If a DME hands you a flare tool without manufacturer instructions hand it back. How do you know it has a 37deg flare? Or how to set the depth of the tube in the tool? Trust the DME?
@flaviocoste898
@flaviocoste898 5 күн бұрын
Sir, I’m fairly certain he mentioned “depending on which tool you have”. Bryce did not say use the 43.13 as a guide to use the tool, but more so as what the end result should be.

Nice. This type of maintenance perspective video would be a good series to do for popular types. I don’t know of any other A&P doing that, so that could be a fun niche for this channel. Also, since you like Mooneys, what is your take on their airframe strength, especially compared to a Bonanza? I am curious as someone interested in maybe buying an E or an F Mooney.

What your thoughts on buying a high performance piston with the potential of 100LL going away? Beech has halted production of the Bo and Baron, could this be the reason for falling sales?
@brycebuildsit
@brycebuildsit 6 күн бұрын
I don't think losing 100LL is the end of the world. 130UL is actually really good fuel and already used in much of Europe. I think the reason Beech has halted production comes down to economics. I forget what a new Bo cost, but I seem to remember it being close to a million. Why on earth would I spend close to a mil on a bo when I can get one like the F33A in this video for 220k or even better buy a really crappy one for low 100k and then completely restore it with a luxurious interior and glass panel and it still cost less then 400k

206 and 210 really share nothing. Your evaluation is wrong. The “real” 210’s with the cantilever wings are based off the 205 type cerificate. The wings are no where near the same along with the ailerons. Both the 206 and 210 are great planes but really share nothing!
