How is giving away potential death benefit of $550k in exchange for $8k / year or $150k over 20 years in additional benefit is a good thing ? If you accumulated wealth enough to pass on to your children . I do not see this as a positive. I must be missing something. Can you please explain ? Thank you.

Maybe it’s mentioned in the video as I’m k my halfway through but what is the value of being able to write off an additional $12,000/year? Let’s say you are taxed at 28%. Was that included in the value of the 529?

My policy looks like this. I have decided to let my policies lapse. I pay 12k a year for 3 policies and the surrender cash value is not until 5years. I am really disappointed in the agent who sold me this. She still has the courage to persuade me not to let my policy lapse so I don’t lose my money

The only way I see that the 6.2% working is because their fees are lower than most IUL's I've reviewed. So in a down year(s) the fees won't push the account negative due to excessive fees.

Someone sold me a trans America policy, $181 monthly, she emailed me just 1 page to sign and accept the policy. She didn't give me no contract or papers showing my policy benefits. She only explained to me few weeks ago the benefits that were so interesting that money will grow, I can borrow money even $40/50 000 first year, in 5 years I can withdraw some money from my policy. I think she was misleading me about Trans America life insurance. Her explanation is by mouth and a slide on her laptop

It's not the same as a CD due to the costs. My CD will mature in a year or two and I get 100% back plus interest. Not so if I want all of my money from a WL policy.

I’m not sure if you’re being disingenuous or dishonest. The fact that you didn’t mention that term-life has a death benefit and level payments. Your statement of 4-5 % returns are wildly optimistic, and from the papers I’ve read it’s usually in the 1-2% range. The fact that you don’t mention that there is zero cash benefit for the first few years because of the massive commissions. Then you say that whatever product you’re pitching is better than a CD? When a CD pays 5+ %. The fact you don’t mention that WL is 20x the cost of term per benefit dollar. These facts strongly lead me to the conclusion that you’re dishonest. Whole life is truly a product sold by the greedy to the gullible.

It seems like you're comparing whole life to term, but the point of the video isn't about debating term vs. whole life. OneAmerica's WL product has averaged 6.4% over the last 10 years. CD rates are just now beginning to touch the 5% range, after spending the previous 13 years in the 1-2% range. There isn't a single video on this channel with the goal of being disingenuous or dishonest. If you'd like to understand fees a bit more, here are a couple of videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioHcppV9jdStl5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/panYk6x_pputhbssi=EVVxQBVvKW1yt4el

Great video. Question - just to make sure I understand correctly on the "single premium LTC insurance policy", so the reason the clients can possibly have "return of premium" option is that the insurance company use the large single upfront premium to make investment return, correct? And the reason inflation protection can't be offered is because the entire policy premium is paid upfront in one payment and no additional increase later to combat possible inflation?

If you are just interested in the Death Benefit, there are much cheaper ways to achieve that goal, like term insurance. TransAmerica is the only product on the market with a "Index Account Value" Monthly Fee. making it one of the most expensive charges in the industry.

Actual cost of insurance goes down over time because cash value growth reduces net amount at risk for the insurer. Eventually cash value grows to the point you're self-insured and net amount at risk for the insurer is 0, therefore cost of insurance is 0.

It's nice to have the additional option & it also appears they have set a cap on the index loan at 6%, whereas they didn't have a cap previously. SO - its an improvement to the product, there if you are looking to use the policy for income, there are still products with even more index diversity and lower loan rates...

Do you get money back if you out live term life insurance? When you outlive the term, with ROP life insurance, you get up to 100% of your premiums returned to you tax-free, minus administrative fees and related charges. You may not get a premium refund if you missed one or more premium payments or cancel the policy.Aug 30, 2024 Do you get money back if you outlive term life insurance? When you outlive the term, with ROP life insurance, you get up to 100% of your premiums returned to you tax-free, minus administrative fees and related charges. You may not get a premium refund if you missed one or more premium payments or cancel the policy.Aug 30, 2024......... What is the commission for term insurance agents? Insurers pay commissions to agents within the range of 15% to 40% of the first-year premium for regular paying policies. The specific percentage within this range depends on the premium paying term.Nov 13, 2023...... How do insurance agents make money on whole life policies? But typically, life insurance agents receive as commission 60% to 80% of the premiums you pay in the first year. They collect smaller commissions in subsequent years. Added up, 5% to 10% of all the premiums you pay over the life of the policy could go to commissions.Apr 24, 2024 That is a lot of money over the years.......... Whole Life, more money goes to the agents. Find this online: Insurance agents receive the highest commission rates for whole life insurance plans, often more than 100% of the total premiums for the policy's first year. The exact percentage depends on the age of the policyholder. From Insurance Business America. From Penn Mutual: Term Life Insurance Term life insurance provides guaranteed death benefit protection for a set number of years at a competitive rate that won’t increase during your term period. Plus, when you have a convertible term policy, you have the option to upgrade to a permanent life insurance policy for lifetime protection - generally without having to answer any health questions. Permanent Life Insurance Permanent life insurance can provide death benefit protection for life. Additionally, your policy can grow cash value that you can access at any time, for any reason.* For both term and permanent life insurance, the death benefit is paid to your beneficiaries income-tax-free. Term - Main Purpose Short-term protection. Coverage Duration - Limited time generally 5 to 30 yeas coverage through work typically ends when you leave your job. Builds cash value - Not applicable Access to Cash Value - Not applicable Cost - Lower when you buy at a younger age, but higher when you buy at an older age or when it comes time to renew or purchase a new policy. Permanent - Main Purpose: Long-term protection plus cash value accumulation to meet financial needs and goals. Coverage Duration - Lifetime coverage as long as you continue to make payments on your policy. Builds cash value - Accumulates cash value on a tax-deferred basis. Access to Cash value - Yes* (*Accessing cash value will reduce your policy death benefit and values, may result in certain fees and charges and may require additional premium payments to maintain coverage. Ask your financial professional for details on accessing your cash value, including how it might impact the coverage guarantees and situations when the values you access could be taxable. Always consult your tax advisor before accessing a policy’s cash value.) Cost - Initially higher than term, but becomes more cost-effective than term as you age. As you can see, they both have their Pros and Cons. Who do you believe in, in this world of greed?

The additional charges column is actually just the cost of insurance for the term rider portion of the DB that shifts over to that column since you’re using the term rider. Since the underlying chassis of an IUL is annual renewable term anyway, there’s really no difference in the COI between the base insurance and the term rider insurance. The HUGE difference with using the term rider is it greatly lowers that policy issue charge as well as the surrender charges making the policy maximally efficient for cash growth with great early liquidity.

Securian allows a 4 to 1 blend ratio with a minimum base of 100k. So you can do a 500k DB policy with a 100k base and a 400k term rider as well as larger DB amounts using the same ratio. That will give you the maximum efficiency policy for cash growth with the lowest fees and commissions. Allianz actually allows a 10 to 1 ratio between the ages of 18-50 and a 5 to 1 ratio outside of that age range.

@@WWIIPacificHistory thank you for sharing and providing a explanation. I’m for all intent and purposes a newbie. I’m in the process of reactivating my license; in the meantime I’m studying. My emphasis is on truly understanding how to properly design/ structure (which makes up 85%) efficient policies particularly IULs. I’m aware there are multiple variants to policies.I’m also a firm believer in doing right by the client ( everyone likes to buy no one wants to be sold), this industry has a bad rap due to lack of integrity and knowledge by agents. There’s so much infighting, gatekeeping and greed that the client is the one that loses out. We need to do better and I plan to be.

I am an agent, and I called Americo about the 7 pay. One of my clients tried to put in additional contributions into his policy, and they capped him to the guideline level premium. Not the number that was under the 7 pay premium. For example, his guideline level was 2500, his 7 pay was 7500, and his minimum payment was 101.95. When he called the carrier, they said the only additonal contributions he could make were 2500-1200. Basically saying he could only put in the guideline level premium which includes his minimum payments over the first year. This is a level DB policy for 100k, designed to put additional contributions on cash value through Americo, which I like because their cap rates where so high! 15.25% But now I need clarification on this please!
