I climbed a tree about 30 ft. up and had my shot at like 20ft. away. Yes I got him. My first. Exact same shot. Just sent chills reliving the moment. 😊❤😊

We, as well as a lot of Michigan deer hunters, hunt for reasons other than putting a “trophy” set of antlers on the wall. We hunt hard and work our tails off for opportunities like this one, and we are darn proud of it! Good luck the rest of the season!

@@HaydnRedmond Glad I could give you a chuckle. But honestly, I haven't passed up one adult doe all season...probably passed on 15-20 shot opportunities on bucks. I wanted to fill a tag...and this big bodied deer did add plenty to the freezer. Thanks for watching!

i don't know if all you guys were hunting the same area. with so many bow hunters now the deer did look skittish the first day. one guy made a comment about 10 deer. you have a good spot. when i started in 1971 a person would of been happy to see 10 deer all season. when i gun hunted i never came in the first 2 days. shot a lot of deer around noon. this was on state land in gladwin. started bow hunting 30 years ago and i think that is much more fun than gun hunting. i'm old now and just happy to sit outdoors and see all the animals.

We were spread over a few different counties in SW Michigan this weekend! Some of us were definitely seeing more action than others! Unfortunately, EHD and unusual pressure have the deer sightings in our areas way down from past years. Good luck!

Got my smallest of 5 on camera opening day. 2.5yr old 8 point didn't give me much time to think about it so down he went. Hoping for a big boy still and a few does. Good luck!!!
