Whats the recommended milage to change this ? Or just drive and wait when its faulty then change ?

I'm sorry but I don't don't the recommend mileage. But the usually last 100k miles. The valve should only allow air flow through 1 one direction. So if you can blow air through both holes then it's bad

No. That doesn't work brother, everytime you unplug the battery you reset the parameters so if you got 12 warm ups done you have to start from 0

@@Nostradamus_Order33you can't disconnect the battery, trust me... we replaced a engine on a malibu therefore the battery was disconnect for a couple of months, from the time it took to find an engine and install it... and permanent code was still in the system after pluging it and turning it on.

One correction to your Video. The 15 warm up cycles (not drive cycles) and 200 miles driven won't "Clear" the Permanent DTC. When you get the 15/200 the CA SMOG machine will "Ignore" the permanent DTC. Now you may clear it in the 15/200 but if you have not no need to worry as long as you got the 15/200 you will pass the SMOG as long as no other cods have come up and gone to a confirmed code. More info here: www.bar.ca.gov/Industry/PDTC

hey did you have to disconnect your radiator hose to get the starter out? if so, was there fluid in there and how did you do that?
@danielx7922
@danielx7922 2 жыл бұрын
No you don't have disconnect the upper radiator hose. You can get to it from the bottom. The Starter is protected or hidden by a heat Shield.

@@danielx7922 ah i see. you raised your car and removed the starter from under the car? I think i may do that instead of having to remove a bunch of stuff from the top.

@@bam-bo if you get stuck let me know but it's not hard. The only hard part is removing the heat shield nut and bolts(use a rachet wrench) and breaking the Starter bolts loose. And removing the connector for the starter

Nice work around to removing the intake. 👍 if only I had a longer handled ratchet. ☹️ I’ll be removing the intake to replace mine and clean the intake and stuff out while doing so. This is really good to know that it’s possible. I wonder if Toyota does this but just charges us the 1-2 extra hrs to remove and reinstall the “intake”. Ha

You can but its easier if you remove the alternator bolts and nut from both angles. Which ever angle that's easier for you. The O2sensor connector, the crankshaft sensor connector and the alternator connector were easier for me to disconnect them from the top
