@samkaplitz9036 it actually works out very well...the plate on the inside where the battery sits and then the lower plate that screws to the nose gear should be standard for the aeroscout.... But it would also be nice if the plywood that the servos are mounted to was a bit thicker...none of the aeroscout issues would even exist ...

I flew this morning with the temp @ 8 F. My record low for a flight is -11 F. No, I'm not a macho man. I fly right outside my house after doing my pre-flight in my garage which I keep at 55-60 degrees during the winter here in North Central, PA. I'm outside for no longer than 8-10 minutes. I won't fly if the wind isn't below 5 mph. Why don't you guys consider taking a warmup break after each flight or two? Sit in one of the cars, chat and warmup for a few minutes before going out for another flight?

@JordanColeman-r8w Paul and I both checked the CG after the very first flight in june I believe (I think thatbis when he purchased the plane)...and after each successful rebuild we (I me) re he k it again...the batter is does have so.e movement but not a lot... Paul did mention a find that I will post shortly that can explain many of the symptoms were having...1st being the spektrum flight controller possible issue...the second issue I will post in a couple days...but I have been preaching hinge to Paul the the wing just doesn't seem right....it's along that line is the second possible reason.... Did Paul have a Crash with his Carbon Cub 1.3 meter? That final Cub take off in this Video looked like it went fairly well but then I lost sight of it after about 10 seconds due to my small screen on my Samsung Phone. I hope Paul soon has a successful flight with this iconic Horizon Hobby RC Airplane that has proved to be a easy and comfortable Trainer RC Airplane for many the past decade when it was originally released as the Parkzone Sport Cub (Red and White Color scheme) in the late Spring of 2014 and it is still keeping me engaged as the Carbon Cub S2 1.3 after I owned a few of the Parkzone Sport Cub 1.3 meter starting in the Spring of 2016. Are you a Full Scale Pilot Robert? I thought I heard you mention something to that in a response to a question in one of your previous RC Flying Videos about why you were flying the EDF Habu STS Jet in more level circuits than doing more aerobatics. I basically fly the Hobbyzone Carbon Cub 1.3 meter in Scale fashion also for about 5 minutes and only have ever utilized a 3s 1300 mAh lipo battery and have been quite satisfied. Happy RC Flying Guys 😊🛩💯👌

@norrismosierjr7956 wow...ok..short answer..yes..the carbon cub did indeed crash again...after the plane lost control by the pavillion..it went inverted then dropped below line of site...popped back up and proceeded into a tree along the water line...a fellow fisherman in a bass boat retrieved the plane and was kind enough to return it....so to date the and has not flow one successful flight.... I had no idea of the history of the cub... And yes...Iam a private pilot with a recreational license...and enjoyed flying full size aircraft for some time... Ok..so I'm doing some digging...and thisnis what I found....I cut and pasted the answer from RCGROUP.COM... Hi, i-Bus and S-Bus are digital, serial protocols for data transfer. They're digital in that they send numerical data rather than the analog timing data used by PWM and PPM. PWM uses multiple channels each sending analog timing data. PPM uses a serial format so a single channel sends all the channel data one after the other using analog timing intervals. The serial formats are used with a flight controller and allows a single connection from the receiver to the FC. i-Bus is the system that Flysky uses whereas S-Bus is Frsky (but based on Futaba protocol) so depending on what receivers you have this may dictate your choice. i-Bus is elegantly simple and is effectively 115,200 baud serial data. It also allows telemetry data whereby the plane/drone can send data back to the transmitter, indicating signal strength and battery pack voltage. Frsky later brought out Smart Port telemetry to address the need for data from craft to tx but it required a second (precious) UART. Still later they introduced F-Port which combined control data and telelmetry over a single port - just like Flysky had all along.

I too have hit the Throttle Cut switch before. I did immediately realize it and turned it back on though. Got a friend at the field who’s a very experienced pilot. On his final turn, coming in low and slow for his landing, he hit the Throttle Reverse switch. Lots of damage occurred. So he’s got both of us beat.

It is very hard to believe that there are no carbon fiber rods supporting that fuselage.. I've got $100 Chinese planes that are built as such.

@tooleyzrc1973 yeah ....it does surprise me aswell...for the price one of these cost..one would think so...but..it keeps the price of replacement just within reach to keep people either replacing the fuselage or wing....or just getting the BNF as a parts plane...kinda savey on horizon hobby part...and let's not discuss the aeroscout nose gear...it's the first thing to get damaged...and with ample room in the interior fuselage...just no reason...
