I own standard, advanced, pro 3 series DGI and 4 pro,,, if the cámara rotated sideways then I would see a need for retractable gear, but not for this gimbal,, but it's a nice cool looking accessory..(: 👍🏼👍🏼

I like the concept of having retracts on my Phantom 3 for the cool-factor but I really don’t see the need for it especially to go through all this work. My cam doesn’t pan anyway but I never get landing gear in my vid. I do sometimes get some props tho. I dunno, maybe I’m stupid? I just don’t get the point! BIT HEY ITS COOL THO!

Way too over expensive!

Simple market research would have shown this to be an absolute, 100%, no questions asked.. FLOP!! The complete waste of time watching this Phantom being butchered and cobbled back together with wires sticking out, and PC boards touched without a proper ground and horrible camera work was only possible because I was laughing so hard. Taking a good drone and making it 'trailer trash' for no good reason gave me the best laugh I have had in a long time..

Thats trash because the weight i dont think is a great ideat intall this trash to a quad

I know this is from 2 years ago but as a retired electronics engineer I would like to point out that whenever you work on microchip pcb's an earth strap should be worn to avoid static damage to the chips. If at all possible you should avoid contact with the pcb's. I was horrified to see the boards just grabbed and pulled out like this.

After 2 years, can someone say the modification works? Or money and time wasted and you find yourself with a phantom virtually disassembled and does not work as before? Thank you. This is pretty cool, I like it. My only concern is the wear and teare on that flight mode switch. I don't think it will hold up for to long.

Not being cruel, but though very cool, this is absolutely pointless.

This was really cool to watch - but since the landing gear don't get in the way of the camera, why did you do this? I have to admit it's really cool, but just confused as to the reason?

At least show us a demo, Sat through 30 minutes of stuff happening and no proof it works.

Looks pretty cool, but its useless like everyone else is saying. They should have used plastic instead of metal and servos, same thing 1/3 of the weight. Personally I wouldn't take mine apart for it. Looks cool though, wonder how much flight time it takes away?

I went in their store yesterday to make a purchase.... ready to spend a couple grand next week but the sales guy Lee definitely doesn't want me as a new regular customer with his rude remarks. I will take my business to someone who appreciates a couple grand in sales. HORRIBLE experience being mocked and not welcomed into the hobby. I will tell everyone I encounter to not waste their time at RC Depot unless that like rude dick heads

I did my first flight tlxay with the 3 pro. 15 mph wind no humidity..I went from the starter setti g to advance pro and took it to 90 metters up and 200 metters away. I filmed it and while it was hovering i started to u derstand the cameras setting. i had i stalled my propellers guards for 2 reasons. 1 to save tne phantom if i crash but more to add weighg in order to be more stabilize at crazy hieght a d speed. I did 2 full flight about 20 minutes or so. i think that without guards and wind i can fly another 10 minutes or so. i also designed an item that would save hundreds of craft if it were to lose power or you. Im probablh will patented it a d protectic from fake copies or hater. This will nelp 1000000 of drones from crashing. if you are an invester and want to talk you can email me. Zby next year we should have way better batteries wkth a cooling system like your cars has. so if you are an in vester that is interested let me know and we will make it happen. What i came up with is a winner that will change the dro e experience. its lots of fun bjt its a wlrk tool for lots of us from photos, survey, news, first respond rescue during hurricane or other natural devastation. let me know . **The FrenchRonin **
