Thank you for the informative video. Do you have any trouble removing/accessing the oil filter? Do you need to remove the skid plate each time you change your oil?

@@conheck_offroad well, I didn't use any power tools, but still managed to snap both of the bottom bolts on the axle mounts. Drives pretty solid though. Living in the salt belt sucks! Lol

Not 100% sure. The shop found coolant in the oil. They didn’t say much other than that. But it barely ran afterwards. 187k

On just pavement you don’t even notice them. On packed snow and icy roads is really where they help the most. In deep snow the studs don’t help as much

Yep you can pair the vk with the manual transmission from a xterra but you have to have an adapter plate

We went up the back way to coyote flats up in Bishop and my Xterra on 33 a Tacoma on 32 and JLU on 37 . All off us where hitting 230 temperature and my tranny hit 260+. All three rigs were pulling timing. Just part of the game. Just a thought were you in 4 low? You'll be surprised how many people keep it in 4 hi.

I love your build, it's super rad. I like the music you chose, it adds to the beautiful atmosphere. That trip looked really fun. I noticed quite a bit of handheld camera shake. Do you use a small gimball/balancing rig? I don't know much about them. There is some software for video stabilization out there, do you use some already? I have really shaky hands, so my videos always end up pretty bad, LOL.

I had to use custom mounts and hardware because of how large a tire I run. Using the brackets that were provided, the tires were hitting the reservoirs at full lock

The xterra stock, is just as good and reliable as any stock Toyota or jeep. Just without the super high sticker price. I’d even argue it’s better than a 4 runner stock. It’s just a bummer that it’s not made any more. These would do so well in today’s market.
