Excellent video at Ely Colin. Couple of good crossovers there and two red sheds (for Nick). Unusual seeing 4S88 goes via the Fen Line and ECML. 18:03 How ironic I caught 557 at East Tilbury (but on different location), she was on 4L91 😂.

Been waiting to watch your footage Colin, so that's all I'm saying for now. Ok Colin I've watched your account of our afternoon there and what I think is great is nothing looks the same as how filmed the workings. You did a lot better job than me when 66085 and 66732 sort of crossed and your last train to film looked fantastic. Was also good to see 66514 working 4S88 because I was in la-la land as I missed it at March. I'm behind with my uploads so it could be another week before I get round to sharing my footage, cheers Mike.

Superb video Colin. What a busy location for locos this was back in the day. I guess it still has its moments today but only a shadow of what it was back then. So much more freight back then and the passenger scene was more interesting. Once again thanks for sharing Colin. 👍🏻

Quality days you got on film Colin, I never got into filming train until 1995, and then I wasn't any good at filming. Was great to see some parcel vans in the bay at DY. Just amazing how much traffic was about the time you was there. Cheers.

That was excellent Colin, happy days they were indeed. Plenty of Duff action gorgeous shot of 37004 but it was the Choppers that stole the show for me ,bobbing in and out I almost got dizzy but nicely so !Yet again amzing footage and I really enjoyed. Have a great week cheers Nick.

Short but very sweet Colin , tasty workings there, nice to see 779 trouble is its a lousy colour to film, Maritine 1/005 looked very smart and then 66502 in nice Tangoed lively. As always great filming and i enjoyed, cheers Nick.

I was green with envy throughout this video Colin ! It just got better and better ,and this is my favourite video so far this month and contender for the year and its only February! Amazing Redshed action and i was in awe, then we get to DC Rail 60's which i rarely see.Then i thought i had got away with it until a 59 appeared! I thought it strange that none had appeared then bingo!A great spot there ,you just cant go wrong .I may be forced to watch all over again! Cheers Nick.

I did enjoy going to Reading in this period Colin collection the stock from all the HSTs Parcels and InterCity trains. Great reminder when we had a proper railway I think, regards Mike.

Hey Colin, great video, 30 minutes of enjoyment, as the 47 is my favourite diesel. In fact, on my layout, at the time of this post (January 2025), I have thirty five of them! Always look out for any 47s in a video that I have, and spotted a few! 47573, 47569, which was not long named, 47844 on the VSOE, before it was named, and 47828 are the ones I spotted. Must also mention 47805, which we see in large logo livery. Later, in 1991, it was repainted into IC swallow livery, and gained the name "Bristol Bath Road", previously on 47490. Whilst 47805 gained the Intercity lettering, it didn't gain the swallow motif.

Old very smokey Duffs Colin and plenty of them , didn't realise Reading was host to so many of them! Amazing archive footage and for me the Network Southeast was my favourite livery. Was that the second style after the toothpaste one? Really enjoyed this look back almost thirty five years ago,and i was a mere thirty two. Oh please transport me back ! As for you being a mere 32 Nick, i was a slightly older 38 so not a lot of differance between us. Hope you havn't been hit to hard by the snowy weather in Lancashire. Night shift at Doncaster Colin! Wow, simply amazed at this footage! Have to confess never seen a Loadhaul 56 on containers before! Wonderful day shots at Milford jcn and a must watch for 56 lovers as im one. Awesome variety of sector liveries there and love the way you always home in on the running numbers, most important that!
