One, two, three, Things didn't have to turn out this way. Four, five, six. The rims of the bullets clinked against the cylinder and I spun it into the frame of the revolver only for me to hit the release and let the bullets fall out to the floor. Their scattering clinks across the stained and rotted wood were the only sound besides a dry wind. The wind pushed up dust that disappeared before one could even register their shapes. One, two, three, Maybe he won't show up. Four, Five, Six. A Whir before a clink. Then my thumb hit the release and out they fell,scattering and bouncing and rolling away. My fingers were already rubbing and setting another to replace the ones I dropped. One Two- “JORDONNAIS!” Four? I looked up, my fingers itching to see the man in the poncho, the oh so present poncho, standing in the shadow of the clock tower. “WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO WASTE,” The man yelled again. Five, then six. I released the cylinder and let the bullets fall as I stood up from my seat on the patio. My heartbeat synchronized with my finger movements. One Two Three I stepped down out of the covered patio into the sunlight, tilting my hat down ever so slightly to block the light. Didn’t stop the tears threatening to roll down my cheeks, clearly because of the brightness of the sun. Four Five Six This time I didn't release the cylinder when it locked into place. Instead I spun the gun around the trigger guard and dropped it into my holster. I stared down the man in the poncho, hatred staring back, unbridled and twitching in his fingers dangling above his holster attached to his leg. I wish I had known what to say then. Instead my internal clock had already started counting down. Six Five Four He wouldn’t know what hit him, quick and easy Three Two But I hesitated. The bells rang out and with them the echoing blasts of his revolver drowned them out. I dodged to the side as he unloaded. Dust popped up as bullets scattered across them like skipping stones. I fired in response, not aiming just to make him move. Click then a whir. Onetwothrefofivesix. Six squeezes as I dived from behind a barrel. The barrel exploded as I rolled in the dust. Five Six, casings scattered as I pulled it up in line with his head. Only to stop again. His cylinder had jammed, and he stood there without cover cursing as he tried to shove it in. He glanced at me, then did a double take realizing I had lowered my revolver. “NO YOU DON'T GET TO BE THE HERO! YOU DON'T GET TO GIVE MERCY WHEN IT BENEFITS YOU!” He slammed his revolver with his hand, no whir but a click echoed out. “You want to stand there and die? So be it,” He sneered, pulling back the hammer, “This time I wont miss.” The gun in his hand began to glow green. Wisps of light scattering outwards. My hand was drawn up, my arm extended and my eyes looking down at the sights. My thumb clicked back the hammer, then pulled it further. A purple glow started to emit from the cylinder. “Neither will I,” I said as we both pulled the trigger. He was aiming for me. I was aiming for his gun. And that was the last thing both of us knew.

I was saving this but glad I'm listening to it now. Makes me want to play Destiny again but I don't think I will. I have the code to happiness and now it is mine for as long as I hold onto it. The code? Do less harmful things like killing and playing games with money and people's lives. Examples include doing drugs not prescribed by a doctor and drinking alcohol. Try to stop nicotine too. Excercise more often. Start with walking, work your way up to doing it almost daily. You really don't need much more than walking, unless you really like pumping iron in which case have at it. I encourage being conservative with all energy though. If you do these things you will begin to see a glimmer, a spark of hope. An ambience, a song. The world will pay you in both glory and treasure. When you have regained your long lost place in this world, you will still be tempted to return to your old ways. Do not relent. The battle is with an older version of yourself. But still treat everyone as an individual wonderful person because they are even if they do not know yet. From the fire and ash your heart will arise and the sword that once prevented you from entering the deeper chambers of existence shall be layed down and before you a gate will be opened. The decision to enter is yours and yours alone.. ❤🍀🌈

The smells of the evergreen forest were softened by the layers of snow. Instead the off tempo crunches of my boots leaving imprints behind me. The sounds were not synchronized with my steps as I passed between shafts of light. The grey trunks showed off their rust highlights as they split the early morning sunlight. Motes of snow landed on my shoulder only for me to brush them off. They landed on the coals only to sizzle into steam, puffs of smoke rising from the crackles of overnight flames. I crouched for a moment before brushing off a spot on the fallen tree to take a seat. My breath condensed in front of me as my fingers brushed the cold strings of the guitar leaning on the log. The sound of sharp notes cut the cold, only for me to look upwards into the foliage dropping snowflakes above me. The snowfall had stopped at some point in the night but that didn’t stop the snow from falling onto me. The glance to the heavens made my peripherals catch something new, something casting a shadow longer than the trees. I stood up and turned, purple, blue sparkling glimpses between waving tips of trees. I stopped at the edge of the forest, the immediate display of the shadows cause pausing my steps. Passing through the spires were waves of indigo light wrapped into the shape of a dragon. Emitting from the wings were sparkles of star light burning off from the early morning light. A shadow made of an aurora of light dominating the sky.
