Bungie is an incredible studio with a unique house style. The studio had approximately 150 employees when Halo Reach launched, 600 for Shadowkeep and over 1200+ for the Final Shape. My hope is under Sony a return to sustainable operations, preservation of the soul of the studio and return to form for a studio that used to put quality first.

Before I forget, do you think you could supplement the main topic you address with another, like you did this time? You spoke about destiny, but also somehow about the industry and the huge value developers provide, and also you gave us insights about a more convenient way for video editing... So glad you did this all

Been listening to destiny lore since Destiny 1. Sir Wallen Myelin games Your videos are godtier brother. I mean that. I'm gonna watch all of them. I don't care for modern destiny lore, i feel like it fell off personally to the really cool abstract stuff they made back in the day. Anyways. Kudos to you, hope your videos get more views. I don't know what "crisis" you are referring to. A normal round of strategic layoffs for a company facing insolvency is a good thing. Bungie cutting all incubation projects means senior experienced staff return to Destiny 2. Marathon will also receive renewed focus. This is all EXCELLENT news and all thanks to Sony's stern and knowledgeable management over a company that had grown too large for it's own good. With a massive 850 employees, Bungie remains one of the biggest gaming studios on the planet.

Etymologically you might want to call us the last knife but due to paracausality of the universe within and time looping in on itself, we become what we kill. We are what is wielded by the winnower and the gardener has been dead the entire time due to turning herself into a moral-less spawn-machine dolling life out to any deceased being regardless of moral structure. Follow names of various ‘guardians’ through actual human history to see guardians aren’t all previously good people. They simply had to be strong.

After the witness fight, you can see them explode into countless “little lights” and spread out until The Witness says, “WE DONT, I.. don’t understand..” because IT was being manipulated by worms as well.

It’s kind of.. odd in a physics sort of way, that there is a massive cradle within the traveler - I mean I know it’s because of our memory of the outside but if we remember the traveler, wouldn’t we find a distorted version of the traveler inside itself? I dunno, but I’m pretty sure we were the ones to choke out the heart with resonance built from those we slaughtered within its chambers and why we find the guardian symbol on the final door to fight the witness. If you look at the concept art with three guardians on an alien world with pyramids and travelers, you can see one is wearing a square, one a triangle and one a circle. Meaning this all was planned a decade ago and all those crying about massive retcons are actually wrong and just following the story beats incorrectly. Have small things changed? Absolutely. But the overarching storyline is the same. “Look up into the sky each night and call that star down until it is here and you and your family with be saved” - ie promise of salvation. “WE. ARE. SALVATION!” There are so many invisible throughlines, I’m not surprised I’ve been called crazy since Witch Queen came out.

I’ll just leave this here: If Clovis is the gardener and established the link with the witness in the “future” wouldn’t it make sense that Mya, his successor - to become the winnower of all improper timelines and ensure the most probable timeline manifests in which they have their “godslayer”? I’ve always been under the mindset that nothing we have faced outside of Xol was a true god even in the lower case sense. At best we have defeated upset parents and politicians. Even the witness was just a tool of a god. To be a god in a universe, requires you to forgo your physicality because if you don’t, you are mortal, vulnerable and not just to death but manipulation. To be god, you need to become legend. (Xol now is beyond)

Now depending on if you're right or not about an evolution in races bungie can go a wild direction. Will the vex finally get a leader and a face? Will they be able to replicate paracausality with science? As far as Fikrul can be become a leader that the scorn need? I recall that Savathun expressed interest in him. Reason? I believe she's looking for a way to maintain immortality by tapping to a universal power(look at the queens missions) and not being dependent on the ghost we have of hers. This will lead to Heresy where Oryx returning(he is the navigator), Xivu maybe gaining a piece of the pure darkness echo and using it to extract revenge. We might use the dreadnought to navigate the other galaxies. Cough Failsafe cough Caitl cough Saint and Osiris and cough Nimbus.... cough cough Guardians of the galaxy. Drifter gives missions to collect and explore. Maybe make it a mini game inside of destiny or even small spin offs? I'm not a dev so I'm just guessing but they have been cooking. I'm just going to enjoy this!!

Man I’m late to the live stream …

Talking to a clan member this evening and her feeling of genuine fear at the way the campaign ends and how it affects us in real life. Losing friends and made over the years of playing was a real fear. In game no war of this magnitude could be easily recovered from. The power vacuum remaining along with the damage done to the traveller and ourselves leaves more loose ends than the previous 9 years of game ever created. From the eliksni, to the cabal even the Lucent Hive have us in debt to each other. The basis for an interspecies alliance becoming a federation of space farmers sits just out of reach. Big loose ends Xivu Arath, Eramis and unknown leadership of the forces of the the Witness. Torabatl can be reclaimed along with the rest of their empire. By being the key to the undoing of the Witness we inherit a mantle of power not seen in billions of years. I'd love to leave Sol even if it's to chase down the remnants of the enemy and restore what was lost. Riis and a return to Weavers and dancers of the Eliksni past. The price of peace is yet to be paid and we've run out of God's to slay here. The Drifter went to the frozen world where creatures sucked the light from the light bearers lives. The home world of the new races we fought? Tuesday will give us an idea of what Bungie are planning probably with relieved happy faces too. This has to be some of the studios finest work and we've not seen anything of the new episode content and the amount of things to do in the pale heart.

Back after final shape

I know it doesn't technically count but we have had Fallen and Scorn be on the same team twice in game Once during season of the hunted we fight Nightmare Scorn and Fallen working together and during that 1 space station mission you fight a scorn boss who also has sniper vandals in the fight. again I know technically Nightmares and Wrathborn don't technically count as normal Fallen but I felt like writing this anyway.

I absolutely loved the campaign, ESPECIALLY on legendary! It felt so streamlined, and the perfect amount of challenging encounters. Loved how the bosses felt like small raid fights!

One small detail I absolutely loved was that the areas where the Witness narrated to us were covered in Egregore. The same egregore that is in Presage and was on the infested Leviathan. Not only do you see the strands and buds of it, but also the spores lining the walls. We’ve known that Egregore was used for psychological purposes (e.g. Season of the Deep, Haunted) but this was surprising directly interfacing with it after Calus and Sloane trialed it before us.

This campaign was absolutely incredible, I had very high expectations and it still managed to surprise me. From a lore point of view we still have the next step beyond the raid, but it's absolutely incredible. Character growth, high stakes. The art team also didn't pull any punches with this one, the pale heart is the most beautiful and yet haunting place in the entire destiny franchise
