Perhaps Maya sought to use the Veil to merge her consciousness with her simulated copies within the VexNet. If she succeeded, she could have also assimilated Lakshmi when she opened the backdoor to the Vex during the Endless Night. I’m starting to get the hunch that the Precursors foresaw our timeline. Perhaps they had visions of her merger. Perhaps they were inspired or terrified by what they saw.

It's certainly possible! The idea of 200+ copies of researchers being combined into one Exo frame sounds crazy. Add the knowledge of the Veil plus the pattern that is the Vex? 👀 Whatever episode one is going to be post-final shape will be a lot more major than I thought. We as guardian and vanguard have assumed that the names we use define positive and negative aspects of the universe in terms of light and darkness. As well as giving relative values of good and evil to the component sides of the entity. I am assuming that the veil and traveller are connected on a quantum level as we have been lead to believe. Personally I think that they represent pieces of a whole. A whole that is a "machine" that has seeded civilisations across the universes since time actually began. The machines have a "maker" which has set of definitions for the universes. The fact that we are evolving in the power of the physical and the metaphysical, how I prefer to view light and darkness, means we are on a similar trajectory to the witness civilisation if not identical. We aren't seeking order or control. We are seeking survival from the idea of the final shape. Those differing ideologies sit at the core of the conflicts of the game. D2 and D1 are the 10 year journey of our evolution to go from zombie assassin's to effective demi deities wielding the very energies of the universe as weapons. We have killed gods and made their corpses and spirits into weapons. In fact there's no better way to get our attention than by suggesting that the gods of the hive would make excellent trophies and weapons see Xol, Crota Oryx etc. Xivu I am watching you episode "Heresy" 😂🤔😜 We have brought the universal plague that was the Hive to a standstill none have come close to that. Not the Ecumene or any of the empires that the witness sent its forces against. We have not won nor have we lost. I fully expect that we will be able to ascend above the limits of the witness and then spend a year on a tidy up the solar system mission. After that we face the scariest thing of all the great unknown.

I still need to figure out how ‘the nine’ people above the veil, in the center mural fit in.. those murals are center to what was in the minds of the people who finalized the veil containment system. Art of the people tells the story of their past, and hopes/fears of the future

@@PsalmLab Way I see it, either Unvieling and the garden stuff was just metaphor and a way to conceptualize an event, basically a way to explain to us that before the Destiny universe began the primordial forces firmed intot he Winnower and Gardener, they disagreed, fought and entered the new universe, maybe the Black Garden is that metaphorical garden havign somehow taken form, or there's more to it and the garden was real. I watched a video somethwer that made interesting points that the Black Garden was maybe this metaphorical garden, and a huge tree stump somwhere I think in the Garden Of Salvation raid might be what's left of the OG Tree Of Silver Wings. EIther way we know however this "garden incident" so to call it played out, the Winnower at some point came to exist in the universe as the Veil, and the Gardener the Traveler, or these things at least acted as vessels for the power of the entities. We still don't know exactly how the Traveler came to exist. Perhaps it's merely a mechanical shell built by some other more ancient race or by the Witness's species as a way to contain the Gardener's power. Alot of fiction dealing with similar themes may have primordial forces become cosmic entitities and battle in the void before existance. One example I best know of is Primus and Unicron from Transformers, bothe were one being once but split, each representing concepts. Primus was good, order, creation, and light. Unicron was evil, chaos, destruction, and dark. THey battled in the primordial void before entering the multiverse and spliting into multiple pieces, what happened to these pieces varies per universe, some don't even have a Primus or Unicron. But typically Unicron exists in his own body and roams the universe consuming all, or he becomes the foundation of the Earth to form around, and most times Primus is the Transformer homeworld of Cybertron, it's core, or inhabits a vessel tied to the planet such as the Matrix or Allspark. I'm currently goign back through Destiny's story and I remembered that many species were revealed to have made use of the Darkness in some way, maybe even if they never encountered the Viel.

Maybe. But he is not the writer of Unveiling. It makes no sense as it is a message to US. The writer cares about Us. Praises us as Majestic. Whereas the Witness, if not indifferent to us outright hates us.

Siva > Quick Silver > Radiolaria > Feed to proto-worms > Ahamkara > Wish to be the progenitor of thought > Witness contacts you through space and time using transcendence (worm hole tech to utilize the time dilation/ie think of interstellar when the father falls into a black hole and talks to his daughter through manipulation of physical objects) > You pull a piece of the witness through and they now exist here and at the end (the artifact) making it omnipotent > Witness contacts hive and informs them the light is their enemy and to feed on death because it knows the traveler can’t help but to bring life wherever it goes (“I would never give the light to someone who thought it a gift” knowing the curse it can’t help to subject beings to) > Tell humans to chant down the bait star and inevitably the Hive as well > give the Hive vex technology by tricking Crota into opening a gate from their world into ours (their dimension - think how the universe exists within and outside of the traveler but different due to reorganization of parts.) > The Vex create the black garden to simulate the veil and achieve paracausality but fail due to being purely of light > Give the Vex the proto-worms because of their opposite affliction and then watch them turn into omnipotent Wish Dragons > Wish for The Final Shape > Savathun Tricks you and steals the veil before a connection is made > Humanity is allowed to grow into god-slayers > We kill the witness > Eggs hatch and we discover we have been duped this entire time. Only thing is.. by who? There’s a reason there is typically glass in front of the witness and I’m fairly sure it’s the wall between realms. What happens when that wall is broken and rather than going to “heaven - realm post-death”, all those souls descended into our realm. Ie. After the witness fight, you can see them explode into countless “little lights” and spread out until The Witness says, “WE DONT, I.. don’t understand..” because IT was being manipulated by worms as well.

The complexity isn’t inherent to the data being studied but rather the precursor information required to understand it was not present, and so your mind is trying to make neural connections/information pathways without the necessary information and instead intuition. 17:13 a misconception I hear from a lot, even Byf himself, is that they think the traveler fled when they started killing - but in actuality it doesn’t say that at all but rather the traveler only fled once they attempted to link it with the veil, meaning it was fine doing what it was with anyone until they tried to make the traveler remember all that has happened and give it purpose. It simply wanted to maintain its repression of violence because all it knew was to; 1. Give life and 2. Run away when threatened “The Gardner made itself into a new rule”

I agree! A lot of recent in-game lore seems to suggest the Traveler has a benine innocence. Like a child is, when it does something wrong and doesn't actually understand what's happening. In a sense being reconnected to the Veil is like discipline. Being forced to return to the first order of the flower game. And the Traveler doesn't want that at all. But with the arrival of Echoes, the game has completely changed and taken a new shape.

34:24 implying what the raid tells us - the witness was not the winnower but was the first knife. Meaning we become the first knife after slaying the witness due to sword logic. Etymologically you might want to call us the last knife but due to paracausality of the universe within and time looping in on itself, we become what we kill. We are what is wielded by the winnower and the gardener has been dead the entire time due to turning herself into a moral-less spawn-machine dolling life out to any deceased being regardless of moral structure. Follow names of various ‘guardians’ through actual human history to see guardians aren’t all previously good people. They simply had to be strong.

In a matter of speaking, it is both. Unveiling refers to it as the place the Gardener planted the "seed of possibility" which is where a Tree of Silver wings sprouts. If the Winnower reaped the Tree, then we can assume there would also be a stump in said location. But Bungie hasn't let us see that close up yet.

08:56 "Worms slithered between the roots, feeding on what was and what might be" I think this may in fact refer to the ahamkara, especially now knowing that at least Riven and her partner were able to access and roost in the black garden, and the ahamkara skulls and bodies seen in final shape trailers As for the "insects" that could potentially be in reference to the Vex radiolaria, as we know they were some of the first life in existence, residing also in the black garden

Great observations 😁 Ahamkara being present during the creation of I'm the Garden makes sense. As for the Vex, they are the first pattern that corrected the errant flower. Lore all but confirms they were the first and have evolved. Check out the lore entry called "Final Shape".

I was talking about the connection of ahamkara and worm gods on a lore discord server and was basically laughed and shunned out because I tried explaining how oryx took quaria, quaria constructed the black garden for the vex to worship the worms, the vex refused to consume the worms and instead fed themselves to the worms which allowed the worms to become paracausal and see through time and go back to evolve separately from the worms (symbol of gambit is the opposite of the ouroboros) and this is why we don’t see ahamkara fighting with worm gods - they are of the same species with the same goal. Trick these races into consuming each other like feeding wine and the finest cuts of meat to a pig before slaughter and at the end of it all, steal their divinity and rule the universe. (to simplify, they want control. Ahamkara of the physical/light, Worm Gods of the mind/dark) I guess we’ll all see eventually *I need to calculate Tarinis into my predictions, I keep forgetting about him because he doesn’t actually exist beyond The Wishmaker now. notice it never states, “before time” - what it actually says is, “before *a* time” which I believe is paramount due to the fact systems can be rested within another like Russian nesting dolls - I don’t need to express the importance of Russia within Destiny do I? Lol It honestly sounds like the true gardener and winnower is radiolaria but that would suggest there are directly opposing vex factions with specific ideals beyond survival but we haven’t really seen that as far as I know. I know Sol Divisive is opposed to other Vex but no Vex has ever tried to support humanity (not counting human minds within the vex network, unless that actually is the ‘prime-inevitability’ that was mentioned. Meaning: it was inevitable that a complex mind would eventually find its way to merge with the network itself which makes me think of the veil and MSUND-12)

It’s kind of.. odd in a physics sort of way, that there is a massive cradle within the traveler - I mean I know it’s because of our memory of the outside but if we remember the traveler, wouldn’t we find a distorted version of the traveler inside itself? I dunno, but I’m pretty sure we were the ones to choke out the heart with resonance built from those we slaughtered within its chambers and why we find the guardian symbol on the final door to fight the witness. If you look at the concept art with three guardians on an alien world with pyramids and travelers, you can see one is wearing a square, one a triangle and one a circle. Meaning this all was planned a decade ago and all those crying about massive retcons are actually wrong and just following the story beats incorrectly. Have small things changed? Absolutely. But the overarching storyline is the same. “Look up into the sky each night and call that star down until it is here and you and your family with be saved” - ie promise of salvation. “WE. ARE. SALVATION!” There are so many invisible throughlines, I’m not surprised I’ve been called crazy since Witch Queen came out.

My only complaint with this video, the too zoomed in videos, and the horrific subtitles. The amount of spelling errors in this, there's no way those are Bungie subtitles. Sorry. Basic words spelled wrong, completely wrong words such as "bustled" instead of "bolstered" and the like. Please take the time to make sure those are correct.
