Bit late. The UK regulations require double pole RCD and MCB in a camper conversion. Needs these before and after the multiplus.

Just been watching your water insyall video. I am thinking of exchanging the gas truma for the diesel version . We eat gas in the winter with heating but saying that we would never make enough saving to recover the extra expebsive. I do have other reasons ie gas will last longer and the heat is drier so less condation in the van . How did the pipes under the van proform as I would have routed through ceiling as guess they will never be water free during drain down as they are lowest point plus the clod will effect them also duing winter trips etc.

Why the epoxy? It looks like it sits pretty tight mechanically and i dont see a reason that it needs to be airtight? You mention that the fuel tank is pressurized 11:45- but to the beT of my knowledge thats not the case?

I'm late to the party but I've been binge watching this series for the past 2 nights now. Great work so far, I love your attitude towards the build, great couple, fantastic videos!

Hey both 🙂 Thanks for all the hard work you put in making these videos. Can I quickly ask what depth you used for the Kingspan polyboard insulation on the walls? Did you use 50mm or 40mm and was there a reason why you went with the depth you chose in the end? I bought 40mm for my walls and am about to start but it seems silly to me not to use 50mm. It seems I would be wasting the available insulation space given the internal walls of the van appears to still give plenty of space if you are using 50mm wall insulation. I hope that makes sense but any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks ☺

What scares me is the number of holes drilled in the floor. This will all get rusty. I did mine van without a single hole except sink and shower drainage.

Hi, I would strongly warn against buying a JP Combi 6kw is copy of a TRUMA D6E but not alle the part are the same inside. The original TRUMA has a completely different burner and ignition system instead of JP uses 1 glow plug which is filled with carbon and my father who bought the end of 2021 now has a JP Combi 6kw diesel which needs to have the glow plug changed and the burner kit complete. The original burner part Truma Burner Kit Combi (E) Truma Code : 34020-00233_34020-00932 and the ignition coil is Truma Ignitor Kit Combi E. The kit contains: 34020-60200 combi ignitor 10010-13800 screws 34020-24000 ducting clips x 3. It will rarely fail as against JP will fail every two years or so as in my father's case. look it up the spare parts TRUMA original is much better. My father really regrets not buying an original TRUMA boiler 6kw . The company that he bought it from states himself, when we contacted him with the error code E31H and it could not start up anymore, that we unfortunately could probably count on having to disassemble it completely or hire a company to repair it. I am separating it for my father as I have installed and serviced WEBASTO diesel and gasoline engine arms and cabin heating in vans etc. When you look closely, the JP Combi looks the same on the outside, but the inside, i.e. PCB and the burner and the igniter, is completely different. The company also states that unfortunately you can experience downtime and glow plug failure within about 2 years of normal operation. And I have investigated whether you can use the original burner for JP and unfortunately you can't as you also have to go out and buy an original TRUMA PCB :-( Because if you could use the original TRUMA burner then JP Combi would be our recommendation, but as it now so buy TRUMA and it can be found at almost the same price on EBAY etc...

Just embarking on our own van conversion, it is also a relay L4H2 so this was a great insight as to what you can fit in it. We already decided on a very similar layout to you guys except just going for a fixed bed. Also already committed to a cassette toilet :( however we won't be full time so shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the tour ❤

Lovely build, a home for sure. I'm always curious how others manage the Schengen Shuffle (90 days in, 90 days out), which months they choose to be in the Schengen and which months to be out. Or do you have a long term visa? Anyway, I enjoy your Instagram account, you guys are going to some lovely places.
