That's crazy... Herman and Sam did not tune down the guitar a whole step in Revelations... they just transposed every key. 3:11 F key on the 1st fret 5:54 those EFEFEFEF on the 12-13th fret 12:16 that time when this part was only played by Sam, exactly the same as the demo

Yeh. As for Revelations, same case with Mean Fiddler and Bloodstock. Probably because if it's for just one song it's better to transpose rather than downtune. So this is in key of D and not Eb?

@@TerminatorZXY Not yet; it was still in standard E tuning like the other songs. They started to downtune the song to Eb like the other songs at the same tour, April 2006, I guess? Herman was just playing the normal E tuning, and he just transposed the key to D minor, because there is a "natural harmonic part" that Herman should play, but he didn't do that because of the tuning, so instead of doing that, he improvised the natural harmonic part into another lick. (at 58:12 kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5CcnHWLftCAeM0 ) Also, Sam was using a Jackson V guitar, which has just 22 frets. He was able to hit the highest D (22nd) at the tapping section. at 1:00:05 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5CcnHWLftCAeM0)
