@@JohnHicksDoP yeah I've got a few videos on here from cormwallis, I don't find it super consistent but it definitely has its days

How many hooks mate? I’m tossing up between 25 set or the smaller 12 sets for my kayak.
@WestwardFishing2 ай бұрын
I use 12 hooks, I think that's plenty, nice and easy to manage and you'll still end up with a good feed
@kristiandudley43442 ай бұрын
Those Trevally nice and fat at the moment, delicious.
@WestwardFishing2 ай бұрын
Yeah a great table fish, this one didn't have any of those weird holes in the fillets either, I often get that with Trevally

Great video! I’m visiting my bro in law in Titirangi from uk. Arriving next week. Can you recommend any spots for catching traveller and snapper please, also do you prefer braid or mono and what leader strength do you recommend? Cheers!
@WestwardFishing2 ай бұрын
I dont really have a spot that I consistently catch trevally they are more of a random by catch for me, as for snapper anywhere in the harbour or out on the coast you will be able to find them at the moment, and for my mainline I like to use braid for the extra sensitivity and casting distance and leader strength for just standard surf casting I usually go for around 60Lb.

@WestwardFishing3 ай бұрын
Yeah they are great, I really rate them almost always a good hookset in the corner of the mouth and stays sharp.
@gherkinsemporium45553 ай бұрын
Hey man, what mainline to shock leader knot do you use?
@WestwardFishing3 ай бұрын
I just use an FG knot, never lets me down, pretty low profile too.

Nice few fish there!! What are the two rod and reel combos your using?
@WestwardFishing3 ай бұрын
The first combo is a shimano 14ft Aqua tip rod with a Penn 850ssm reel with 30Lb Mono and the second combo is a shimano airlex 10000 with 20Lb braid and im not sure what rod it is, I found it on the beach and its some chinese brand.
