I always really loved and enjoyed Mr. Beat's videos. He always produces high quality content; however, this video seemed extremely disingenuous. It seemed less about education and more about making fun of other people's sincere beliefs. I don't mind sharing facts even hard facts, but making a joke of a religious community is extremely hurtful. Would we treat any other religious group, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, etc., etc., etc. this way???

Any objective or honest consideration of the history of the Mormon church will make the Mormons mad. They only accept their version of history and think everything else is anti. It is so engrained to defend the faith.

How interesting perspective of an American about the Bay of Pig Invasion. Maybe, just if the US hadnt supported a dictatorship, and then tried to dethrone another one just proves than the American intervensionism doesnt work in Latin America. The sense of antiamericanism in the regions is because of something, weird you "commemorate" the invasion of a country, and not even talk about Guantanamo.

We didn't know, alright. Everyone said it'd be close, but they were wrong. Trump and the GOP got the closest thing to a landslide victory that they could get, considering how divided Americans are right now.

I think you got one of them wrong. Obama’s favorite president was clearly the biggest narcissist to ever hold that office, which is of course, Obama himself.

Well, I've enjoyed many of your videos in the past, but this was very disappointing to watch. I get that history is not the way we would have it now, but your bias is not helpful or making your points more convincing. Best of luck with the channel, but I'll be choosing to spend my time elsewhere.

Lots of rural people benefit from social security, medicare, and medicaid. Many of them vote against their own best interests and for people that would like to cut ✂️ those programs (though, the cut might not happen). I believe this is in large part due to propaganda.

I've lived and worked in all 3 areas for periods of my life, so I am certified to talk about my subjective opinion with objective confidence, in defense of rural living I grew up in the suburbs in western wisconsin. It's very true that half of my classmates moved to minneapolis to work and for social justice, and the other half moved to the country. I, myself, moved an hour north into a tiny rural town in 2020 (population 210), because I am a hermit. That being said, it wasn't too long ago (I cannot remember when, but for sure during Biden's presidency), came along a representative that was pitching to buy my 7 acres from me for 4x what I bought my house for, so they could construct "hog factories" (did I just dox myself?) I could've walked away with damn near $500,000. That would've changed the trajectory of my life. I said HELL NO. The consensus from the surrounding counties were a HELL NO. I don't know if I would consider this "fear of change" or just "fear" itself. These "factories" are radically inhumane to hogs, incredibly wasteful, pump pollutants into lakes and land, and are just blatantly disrespectful to attempt to purchase folks out of their work. The livestock farmers around here are immensely proud of how well they take care of their animals, and many (if not all) farms donates 2-3 animals for community feeds multiple times a year. That's just something you don't have when you step out into urban areas, or even suburban areas. When we say "traditional values", I think it's often misunderstood as a 2 parent, 2 child, religious type of household, and that's not necessarily the truth. Many people out here are religious, but also many of them are divorced, childless, had abortions, want universal healthcare and the list will go on. I dont think it's as polarizing as people will tend to believe. People who farm and live here, in my community, tend not to think of money and wealth as the goal or reason to survive. The honest hard work of supplying to the community is the tradition. It is actually now taxed, and sometimes illegal, to sell "farm fresh" eggs and edible goods from roadside stands; most of which people will sell for $1. Whether you agree that this is okay or not is subjective, but it's true that many rural livelihoods are being seized by new federal mandates. As where I stand? Who really cares. I just want to be left alone with my 25 free ranging chickens

Excellent History recap! One question, I would question the stats that say the Mormons are gaining members....cause it seems to me that they are falling off the wagon in droves because of the internet and recent podcasts that expose all the lies and hypocrisy the church is immersed in. And then there is the whole $ game, 200 billion and rising and very little being used to help "the poor" as they would like everyone to think ...but that lie is being exposed too now! Thanks for this video! I just found your channel and this vid was awesome! :o)

Imagine if you could examine the lives of Peter, James and John. And Paul. or even Jesus, the way you are able to examine the lives of early members of the restored church. Imagine the sarcastic and hilarious video you could make about how many in their time believed they were con artists as well. So much so they were all murdered for their con. Pffffff, I mean they went around telling people of a Jew who was born in a manger, who wasn't even a certified Rabbi that resurrected himself and called the religious leaders of their time vipers. Christ picked the fisherman, he picked Moses who needed his brother to speak for him, he picked Abraham who hadn't left his daddies house until he was like 70 yrs old. He picked men who could be easily doubted to be the ones to lead his people. I doubted Joseph and the restored gospel for years so I get it. But he no con man. He is the prophet that restored the gospel in these last days. The arrogance to say so many highly intelligent, good and successful people are so ignorant they don't realize Joseph was a con man is a level of arrogance I don't get. You're the smartest guy in the room and just doing your part to educate the rest with statements that lack full context so you snatch up some views and likes. Lot's of stories in scripture that shine light on this tactic.

I spent 28 years in the Mormon religion. It really amazed me to find out how little I really knew about Joseph Smith and Mormonism after all that time. It makes me so sad for my family members when I hear them tearfully proclaiming that something true when I know that the truth of the matter is way different than they think.
