Did you clean out and fully strip all of the copper from your barrel before you grouped , it's because you shot a standard bullet after shooting an all copper bullet don't blame the ammo or the shooter blame the copper barrel.

This projectile shots very accurately outa my Mk1 ruger .220 swift. (1/12 twist) 3500 fps, works well on goats, whitetail, wallabys etc

Save your time and gas money folks, Henry's customer service is awful, so I recommend CVA or TC ....trust me . That's the two that I'll be going with after my first hand experience with Henry's customer service ove several phone calls. Shame really

I've been trying to figure out how to get the muzzle brake off of my model 11 (same as your brake) and hadn't thought of heat, though I too determined a 3mm and 7/64" Allen wrench would fit through the holes. However, if the threads are that poorly done; I am not sure I want to bother now as I'd be concerned about getting anything back on there, the way those threads are damaged. Even worse if one was to pay a gunsmith to do it only to find out they had such poor quality threads. Makes me never want to buy another Savage.

I can get 3435fps with the 75gr bthp match from hornady. I have the bergara b14 hunter 22-250 with the 1in9 twist 22in barrel. I use the winchester staball 6.5 powder. I won't post any data but that's what I can get. You can go to shooters reference and get a pretty good idea of what the charge can be though. Let me tell you that it hits hard,even out to 420y.

I got a 721 Remington and it has a checkered factory stock anyway it was a 30-06 and I got it from a pawn shop the rifle just didn’t shoot so I took it to a friend house who had a bore scope and the chamber was not cut straight to the bore so I am re-barreling it to a 280AI I ordered it from Shilens I have never built a rifle before but I have a barrel vice and the rench for the action and the barrel is already pre threaded and crowned and short chambered now I am waiting on my finish reamer it’s going to be a fun project

Good to know AR comp might be a viable powder in the triple deuce. That caliber will flat spoil you accuracy wise. I have a 788 in glass with a Canjar trigger. It will be the last rifle I ever get rid off. Glass bedding the wood stock really helped as did the trigger. But the fiberglass stock made it truly great. My rifle would absolutely not shoot 50gr Nosler Ballistic tips. The groups made me want to 🤮. I went back to my 73’ loads of Sierra Blitz ( not Blitzking unless they’re the short ones) and 52-53 Sierra bench & match were nearly one hole groups with I4198 Rem cases and Rem 7 1/2 primers. I backed off from close to max quite aways to get the best groups. I usually shoot a fouler on the target then use that for my aim point. Back in the day I used a Lyman All American 10x fine crosshair scope. Late 80’s put a Leupold M8 12x on it and the 10x on my 17 Rem. Not a looker but a great shooter 😂 nice video.

Have you tried Accurate 2700 it works good in my 700 Rem. 220 swift

An excellent powder for use in the 45 - 70, especially with cast bullets, is AA -5744. Another good powder is the now-discontinued SR - 4759. Both are bulky and fill up most of the case.

Fed 210 primer and IMR 7828 go together like peas and carrots!

160g-168g loaded with IMR 7828 is 3000 fps, 175g Nosler LRAB shoots a bug hole at 100 yards with bullets sorted for Ogive length and seated .003 off of the lands.

The Gentry muzzle break throws the sound forward, eliminating much of the concussion off of your head and you will for sure will reduce recoil to 243 Winchester level!
