Interesting idea, Cat. I like that forces the reader to pay attention, to be more actively engaged, and they get to see their progress, which is very motivational. I like your tip about separating reading time from study and devotional time- that makes so much sense. For example, about two weeks ago I read the entire Gospel of Matthew ion a weekend. I just wanted to read a large portion of the Bible without stopping to look anything up. I just read it straight through. Really loved it. God bless you and your channel!

It's a proven fact that colors help people of all ages learn. I totally agree, being ineractive with your bible helps keep me motivated to read my bible and spend time with God. 👍💝 If all you have is a fancy expensive bible that sits on a shelf collecting dust because you're unmotivated and to afraid to "mess it up" , the only thing that bible is serving is your pride. I'm not saying it's bad to have nice bibles, but if you're not reading it, what did God bless you with it for? Gods word was not meant to sit on a shelf. Do what you need to do, to be engaged in His word. I can quarentee you, you will appriciate that bible 100% more once you do. 👍💝

I love old bibles. I have a well lived copy of The New English Bible by Oxford Press. It is a personal size leather cover. It is too fragile to use now. I have been able to find two full size versions, one with apocrypha and one without. They stopped printing in 1970 or 1972. Hard bound copies are easy to find but leather bound copies are few and far between. It’s slightly more modern than. KJV but not much.

This Bible was evidently printed in the 30s or 40s. Modern translations were non-existent. The JB Phillips New Testament translation was not published until 1958. It was done by one man, an Anglican minister. Not meant to be precisely accurate. So, Holman started publishing KJV bibles. They still publish many different KJV bibles. Holman is Lifeway’s publishing company which is owned by the Southern Baptist. They print many things other that bibles including many of todays magazines and all sorts of Christian books. One of the largest employers in Nashville Tennessee.

That's a treasure!! I love old Bibles too. Mine I had as a child completely self destructed. It wasn't Smyth sewn just glued I still have it though it isn't together. 🙂

Cat… i’d like to ask your opinion or recommendation for something. I have hundreds and hundreds of stickers just in containers and drawers. Do you know of any way I can organize them such as put them in large sticker books? I can’t seem to find any sticker books, except for the ones that have pockets and that wouldn’t work for me. I think I saw one time that you had pulled out some sticker books. Can you tell me where I can possibly find 8 x 10 or larger sticker books to organize my stickers in? Thank you very much. I love the way you have everything organized.

Does the green art guilt rub off on your fingers while reading? I got the storm grey with blue art guilt and the blue rubs off on my fingers which makes me not want to read it, wish i got the Lion fore-edge guilt
