@@Clive007 Thank you! I used a Tonex pedal to play through an amp “capture” of Amalgam Audio’s capture of a blonde Fender Bassman through a tube screamer. I then ran it through a 1073 preamp, LA2A compressor and plate reverb with UAD plugins. For the clean part, I ran it through a Dumble OD Special capture from IK Media, and a rotating speaker plugin from UAD. On the dramatic bent up note, the captures don’t feedback/sustain like a real amp, so I manually turned up the volume on the recorded track to get fuller sustain there. I look forward to dialing in a tone on a tube amp when I can crank up the volume one of these days…

Dude I remember finding this cover years ago and trying to learn it, before giving up as it was way above my skills as a guitarist and a singer. Today I'm finding it again, and I'm still blown away by how good your performance is. One day maybe, I'll find the determination to learn and steal those licks ;)

@@dertizos Thank you very much! I’m so glad you like it! I recorded it again a couple of years ago (I got on a Hendrix obsession kick like I do every few years and recorded several tunes), but I didn’t play the end solo as close to Hendrix. I’ll make a playlist and I’ll share it with you!

Wonderfully done! Sounds like low E string tuned down to C#. Did you retune any other strings?

@@tube49445 Thank you very much! I’m sorry, I remember that I tuned the low string down, but I don’t remember about the others. I’ll check when I’m around my guitar. I usually just tune the low one down for bass notes, but I did tune my whole guitar down 2 full steps for “Dust in the Wind,” so I’ll have to check this one
