I know how it feels to get some cupboards organized, wonderful! Oh and you have so many pretty coloured nail polishes. I’ve only worn nail polish once on my wedding day, but I like to see other people’s fancy nails. 😊 I’m glad your two pains have subsided, hopefully they will stay that way. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the US! 💜💜

Thank you! I used to wear nail polish all the time years ago. Then I stopped. Then my daughter got into it about 7 years ago and I bought her a few from and independent brand and then she stopped so I started wearing it and then started trying some nail art and have had fun ever since. I find that my nails break less with having polish on them. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! 💜

Know exactly how you feel Jenny. Felt so unwell that I couldn’t make my Gastrointestinal appointment, and need to reschedule and after that another colonoscopy. I still have pain every day from my surgery but I still force myself to walk every day too, I know I have to, some days my daughter joins me which makes it more enjoyable! I hate the dreary days and getting dark so early, it’s not good for my mood🙁 I had my thyroid biopsy and the nodules are benign!😊, I’ll find out more after follow up appointment next week. I’ll be prepping for Thanksgiving too this week, busy days ahead! Have a great weekend!

Hi Jenny, it’s been a while. Sorry I’ve been absent. Between mom and hubs and dealing with their health issues and having to work, I’m cut short with time. But I think of you often. Tell me, how do they do a colonoscopy when your bottom is sewn shut? Through colostomy? You look great. So sorry you’ve been having some pain. Hoping that resolves for you. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thank you, Liz! I've been thinking about you and hoping you were well. Thanks for checking in! I appreciate it! So yes, they do the colonoscopy through the ostomy. Have a wonderful weekend! 💜

Dearest Jenny, it is very healthy to Grieve. I saw a friend on your channel mentioning journaling. I do that and it helps so very much. ❤ I can say with all honesty in my heart, that the world is a better place with you in it. You are such a lovely lady. ❤ Very kind and gentle. I have an Ileostomy, Urostomy, coming up to 13 years now. I empathise with your journey in my own way of understanding. I do know two different types of Ostomy. I did look after my Mum and her Colostomy and that was 15 years ago. It was too late for my Mum. I am so very grateful you are here, looking healthier than I remembered, dearest Jenny. (BIG GENTLE HUGS). You have a way about you Jenny Rice, that helps others not feel too sorry for themselves for too long. You are a remarkable lady. There is always that "Special Place" in my heart for you always. Love Deb from Aussie Land.❤❤

Grieving what once was is hard. The roller coaster goes on. All you've been through has been rough. Reality sometimes has a way of hitting us in the face. Hugs Jenny 🤗. I can relate to what you are feeling. I was just thinking back to last Christmas and all the cookies I baked! Brought me to tears because I’m nowhere near ready to take on a task like that and it’s been almost 8 months since my surgery. I still have daily pain and painful numbness that just sends me to bed with a heating pad. Then dealing with this thyroid issue, I wonder if I’ll ever feel good again. Then I say my thanks for being alive, not having to endure chemo or radiation up to now and try to remind myself I do much more blessed than many 🙏🏻
@jenny_rice8 күн бұрын
Sandy, I know what fun it is to make lots of Christmas cookies. I have done that, too. I obviously took a break from that and everyone understood. Still feels different not being able to do that, though. I'm sorry you're still in pain and have painful numbness. I am grateful I just had numbness without the pain. I hope your heating pad helps. I guess you just need to listen to your body and give it the rest it needs so it can continue to heal quickly. Sending continued prayers that you get some answers on your thyroid. 💜🙏

Yes, I have many up and down days. I agree that everyone does whether they’ve had surgery or not. We may be a bit more vulnerable. I’m just a bit disheartened as I’ve been having leaks under the flange (wafer) which I’ve never experienced before and it’s tough as I’m changing everything sometimes everyday . I’m working with an wound ostomy nurse and I’m hoping she can get me on the right track. She’s very nice. I certainly can understand you can look at pics of how your abdomen used to be and kinda feel sad as it is different now. When I start feeling down I just remind myself that ok, this happened I wouldn’t have chosen this however it’s keeping me alive. I can understand where you’re coming from Jenny. I initially had a colostomy and the colostomy was much easier to care for than the ileostomy but I do now have ileostomy. Some of my changes are easy some very challenging. 😟😟 you look great Jenny. Look forward to your next cooking/baking video. 😊
@jenny_rice8 күн бұрын
Thank you, Patricia! I'm sorry you are having leaks. It's wonderful that you are able to work with an ostomy nurse, though. Yeah, the ostomy itself isn't too bad, but when there are problems it's just frustrating. I hope you find a solution quickly! 🙏And I will have a cooking video up next week. I actually made one this week and then as I was uploading the footage onto my computer I saw that I had already filmed this one!! (Snicker's Baked Oatmeal) I was surprised I didn't remember making it already! 😂 In any case, I've had a delicious breakfast these last few days! 😄
