Is it possible to do link to a certain place within a note? I have a bunch of softwares etc and I want to simply have A. B. C. D. etc at the top and when I click on C let's say, it goes to my "C" section within that same note... to save on so much scrolling. I use this note every day multiple times.

If you want to collaborate them in Asana, you'll need to invite them into your Asana account using their email address.

why use a Template instead of just duplicating a task and assigning to multiple people (individually)

The templates also allow you to set dynamic due dates. I also find it easier to create a new task from the new task menu rather than having to duplicate an existing task and update it.

I'm afraid not. You would need the Starter plan to use templates and do basic rules or Advanced to create your own custom rules.

Hi Mate, I have a similar dashboard where phase 1 has 5 different task and phase 2 has another 10 different task. When I am writing a rule for Taks 1 under phase 1 , I can only select the flow will be assigned to Phase 2 / not for Task 2 of phase 1 . Any idea how can o achieve that.

This would be possible using Zapier (a third-party automation tool). So when a task is created via the form, you could automate an email to be sent.

For workflows can I use it for training and orientation? I am the new admin at my organization which is a nonprofit, I noticed they are not using ASANA optimally and first I need to create a reusable recurring training with automated tasks, documents, and videos.

Hi Paul - great tutorials and thank you. I noticed you have projects in your side bar but I created portfolios and dropped the projects into there - keeping each client separate. I then 'favourited' the portfolios to keep things tidy. Would you say this is a good way to plan?

This is probably one of the most detailed SOPs and I feel like when I have come across other SOPs in the past, your's is probably by far.... one of the best and something that I would like to replicate myself learning how you incorporated such detail....because I feel like everyone else's SOPs are kind of crappy and very generic....I mean yours are actually very detailed which means less training when new team members come on board, am I right?

Thanks! Yes you're right, when onboarding a new team member it's a lot less time-consuming now as we have this very detailed SOP. I like to write out all the steps to follow so that someone who's never done the task before can understand what to do on their first try.

Thanks for the great video! 👍 You show that you use a custom field ‘Deal Source’ - parallel to ‘source origin/channel’. I'm wondering what's the smartest way to capture the source of a deal. We get many of our leads at conventions, trade shows or through personal recommendations, for example. What is the best way to handle this? There are the ‘Source’ fields for Leads/Deals, especially the ‘Source channel’ field in which you can add additional options. Many articles on the web recommend an additional custom field. But since the Lead Source and Source Channel fields are fairly new in Pipedrive, I wonder if that's exactly what they're for. I could simply add ‘Convention’, ‘Trade-Show’, ‘Recommendation’ there. What is your recommendation and good practice? Thanks again!

Thanks for the question. I also recommend adding a custom 'Deal Source' field where you can add your own options (like 'Trade Show') to a dropdown menu. The new 'Source/Channel field that you're referring to can't be customised and Pipedrive's system uses this field to automatically determine where the lead/deal comes from. This is why I recommend having your own custom field as well so you can track your own custom sources or campaigns.

I just made the switch from a PC (used OneDrive) to a Mac. I have Word on the Mac and when I go to save a document (or turn on AutoSave), it takes me to Manage Storage Accounts but iCloud does not show as an option to add. I don't want to use OneDrive anymore and thought I had transferred everything to iCloud. Maybe you covered it in your video and I didn't catch it. Still learning here. How do I store my Word docs in iCloud and get rid of OneDrive?

Great summary. Could you elaborate or reference one of your other videos detailing limitations of subtasks as it relates to Timeline and Goals? e.g. if I want to see a visual Timeline of dependency and progress using task/subtasks vs project/task.

The good news is that subtasks have fewer limitations now than they used to. So you can now click to expand a task on the timeline to see subtasks. You just won't see tasks or subtasks on a Portfolio timeline (you can only see them on the main project timeline)

I often take notes and store them within different apps, like Contacts or Photos, but I sometimes forget which app I used to save them. That’s why I rely on Spotlight to find these notes. However, Spotlight doesn’t fully meet my needs because some apps, like Evernote or Notion, are not integrated with it. My question is: in Raycast, is it possible to search for a word across multiple apps simultaneously, similar to how Spotlight works?

I haven't tried this myself but there may be extensions you can download that allow you to search across more apps. You can also set up custom searches for web services.

I love your videos and Asana but this is just ridiculous. Asana, Monday etc are not CRMs or even close. They’re just databases. Why bother when Hubspot, Pipedrive, etc cal do it properly for no cost. Misusing good tools does them no favours whatsoever
