Thank you for the video. I've noticed that for 1-day or milestone tasks, the date is listed as the day of the week instead of the date. Additinally, instead of having nice clean lines as you do to show dependencies, my view has a back and forth loop that appears. Could it be the version of Asana my comipany has? I can't figure out how to change the date format or the dependency line. Thanks!

Excellent video as always mate! This is probably the best explanation and actual use case on the internet. I remember when we started using Pipedrive it was one of our own questions as well. Hi Paul, so I'm creating a sales pipeline where once the deal is considered "won" I need it to go into a new pipeline entirely so that it can go through those stages. I need to create the same process if I were to select, "lost" on the deal where it goes into a new pipeline and goes through those stages. Am I able to do that in Pipedrive?

Hey Paul - I have been attempting to cancel my Pipedrive services for well over 3 months... the customer services has been absolutely horrible. I have now been chatting with representatives for hours with no response, or lack of ability to help. There is no customer service phone number and no one has followed up. When the form is filled in, it'll create a task in the project so you'll be able to reference this. You can attach files to your tasks in Asana for easily retrieving them later.

Yes. From the timeline view, you can select portions of the timeline to bulk-move your tasks. Or if you have tasks connected as dependencies, moving one task will move the dependent tasks connected to it.

Brilliantly done and I always learn something new. Regarding rules, can a task move from one section to another based on a relative due date? For example, when a video is moved from "scheduled" to "live", I want it to, based on rule, move from live to complete using a relative due date, say, 3 days after the trigger moving it to live, then marked complete. Tried but can't seem to make this work. Thanks again for great instruction.

In general, after watching this video its clear you make money from consulting on Asana. I've unfortunately inherited this trainwreck of a software at my new employer. Having used many different options Asana lacks a lot of basic features for software development. Their insane way of trying to handle agile development is asinine. Lack of human legible identifiers on tasks is a big loss as well. Sure you can automate some of that, but it should be out of the box. Giving people a key pointer is easier to ask them questions on than trying to say "you know that tasks called xyz" which could be duplicative. While it may work well for some things, its among the worst I've seen for agile development. The worst part is because they already have the logic for subtasks of subtasks, of subtasks, they could build out a true epic/feature/story/task but instead they have you create a portfolio for an epic, a project for a feature, stories are tasks, and tasks are subtasks. This is so obnoxious. I should be able to do this within 1 project and have multiple epics inside of a given project. It functions, but for agile development I'd give it like a 1.5-2 stars out of 5.

As well as Leads & New business I would like to add in a Repeat business pipeline The question I have is can pipeline generate Enquiry numbers (i.e. E1234) Every new enquiry we have gets logged on a spread sheet all the documents & drawings are then stored in a file with the enquiry number against it If Pipedrive could generate this number I could get rid of this spread sheet We currently use workflow 2 for managing jobs & time sheet entry's , the Lead generation part of this software is not ideal Pipedrive looks like it work better if i could get it to generate this Enquiry number for me

Rather than having a repeat business pipeline, I'd just use the same pipeline again and use a custom field or label to denote that it's a repeat client. Otherwise this is going to make your reporting more difficult in the future. Yes, you can use the deal ID as the enquiry number if you like. You could use an automation to add the deal ID to a custom field when the deal is created.

There isn't a "checkbox" type. I think you mean "Multiple Option". The Marketing Consent message needs to be added on the form itself when you create this (not in the field settings)

You should be able to do this by comma separating the labels in your spreadsheet.

@minor-co in fact Pipedrive has a bug there. It doesn't split the commaseperated labels automatically. You have to remove the mapping for the labels if it got mapped automatically. Once you add it again it works.

@@SamHartmannComHey Sam! I’m having the same issue. Can you explain with more detail how you solve it? I’m trying to import almost 400 contacts and I need the labels to be automatically assigned. Were you able to assign multiple labels when importing the data? Or did you have to edit it after? Different contacts have different labels, so I can’t just make a bulk edit after imported

@@sarasalgado554 after uploading the import you see the mapping view where you assign Pipedrive properties to the imported data right? In my case the person labels property got mapped automatically but without seperating the commas. I had to delete the mapping for labels first. Then searched the exact same person label property on the right and mapped it to the exact same import data on the left. This time it split the commas between the labels in the imported cells automatically. Does this help?

Yes. In your webform settings, you can set it so that a prefix is added to the lead/deal that gets created. Then you could use an automation to update the deal label and filter the automation to only run on deals/leads that contain the prefix.

Lets say you have recurring monthly tasks (Monthly blogs) for clients and you create recurring tasks for those blogs for the specific client, I am curious what do you do with those tasks once they are completed? Do you create a Completed section so they go down into that section once completed and move out of the way or is there something different you would recommend? I notice in our Asana that completed tasks clutter up client project folder so would love your insights on how to best improve this problem. Thanks

i am a bit confused once i drag and drop all documents in to icloud and delete it on my desktop on mac it also disapears from the icloud drive ? how do i do what your doing keeping docs and images only on icloud and download only when needed. i see you said just click remove download but once i click remove download, the file still remains on the desktop a bit confused as am new to this some help would be appreciated.

If it's still showing on the desktop then it sounds like it's not being added to the iCloud Drive properly. Make sure you add it to a folder in your Documents folder in the Finder and that this is synced to iCloud Drive.

Hi Paul, I'm a bookkeeper and I use Asana. I have a quesation which hopefully you can answer. My Asana is set up to monitor workflows of my staff on particular clients. For example, I may have a project called ABC Pty Ltd and then a task associated called Reconcile Bank. I need to monitor the progress of the task for the particular project, for instance is it 25%; 50% or 75% complete. What do you suggest is the best way to do this?

You could create a custom field in the project called 'Progress' as a numerical field. Then whoever is working on the task can input the % completion (this would need to be done manually)

This system seems to be very focused on outbound activity to the customer. BUT the only place i get a notifocstion about an incoming mail from the customer is in the salesinbox. It would be very nice if i somehow could get some sort of notifocation in the sales pipeline ex. The box get green or a label shows saying new mail. I dont want to be in the salesinbox all the time

I do both (as mentioned in the video). Asana is more for checklists where we need to check off tasks. Docs is for written documentation.
