I went through some of this process but my questions were about the truth of God. When I finally came to the conclusion that there is no God, I found my peace. Of course, when I no longer believed in God, I couldn't believe in the church.

I have sent 2 comments to the CES Letter informing on the reality of Paul Gregersen debunking the arrogant Egyptologist opinions against Joseph Smith by presenting proper interpretation. I have yet to have heard back from the CES Letter.

I am in this situation of questioning the church. Well I‘m almost not just questioning anymore, but I‘m still in the church. What I found out is that the Bible feels totally different to read. There is so much love in it. So much peace. It changed me.

I felt like a failure on my mission too but in a different way. I couldn't learn the language. I thought I wasn't spiritual enough because I struggled so much. I didn't care about baptisms. I cared about just doing my part. But as a missionary, I was so homesick. SO so homesick. My self esteem was so bad then. But a plus I lost so much weight because I was literally starving and it was a walking mission. We walked everywhere.

Sorry for off topic but your eyes are beautiful. I'm so glad you found the truth. When I left the church, The most life changing thing was the guilt has left my mind and I feel so free. I try to be a good person because I want to not because I'm afraid of angering god.

The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints is the only church that worldwide providing needs for everyone in the world now. I paid tithing because I want to bless others and myself but mostly to show gratitude to my Heavenly Father for his blessing that given me. I served mission because I want to share the gospel to God children. Good luck to your decision!!

I enjoyed listening to your podcast and what I would recommend for you is to take the KJV and begin reading the Book of John in the New Testament and read as a child would and let God’s words speak to your heart. And remember that God is Love and His Love is definitely unconditional and there is nothing we can do to merit His Love.

I just saw your video and i was moved by your honesty and sincerity. I am not Mormon but i live in a rather heavily Mormon are in Arizona. I have been watching KZbin to get information about Mormonism and how I can effectively share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the forgiveness he brings by simply putting your faith in Him alone. I pray that as you process all this information that you can come to realize that the Jesus in the bible is the same yesterday, today and forever and He loves you and can remove all sin by simpley trusting in Him.

I have been a member of the church nearly my whole life. My parents joined when I was three and I am now in my 60s. Over those years I have had to confront at one time or another nearly every anti Mormon sentiment that mortal minds can contrive. When I read the CES letter it did not contain any information that was new to me. Point by point the letter was just a rehashing of old material that has been around since probably the days of Joseph Smith. My trial of faith came about one month before I left for my mission in 1978. Ibhad graduated from seminary and had some wonderful youth leaders who taught me the basics of the gospel. I not only wanted to serve a mission but was looking forward to it. I thought my testimony of the church was rock solid. Then one day just as I was preparing to leave I got invited to a relatives house who was not a member on the pretext that he wanted to help me celebrate my mission call. I thought it was odd but I went thinking this person was sincere. When I arrived I was greeted by him and another visitor who happened to be a minister from another church. Over the next two hours I was subjected to the most brutal attack on my faith imaginable. I was devastated. I went home in tears. I was not prepared for the things I heard. I felt hurt and I was terribly confused. Had the church decieved me all this time? Did the people who I had trusted lied to me all those years? For thecsakevof time and space I be will not go into the details of my struggle. But I will just say that after a tremendous spiritual battle my questions were answered and all my doubts were swept away. I was able to go on my mission confident in my understanding. I vowed that I would never again be unprepared for the attacks on my faith. My faith was in the grace of Jesus Christ and the anvhor to my testimony of the church is the Book of Mormon. The experience with that minister so many years ago prepared me for reading the CES letter because I had heard it all before.

hi, Jante, just know god loves you, when i joined the church, the missionaries found me, but Iwanted to know ifit was truly true, so about 4 months afteri was baptised i knelt down to get an answer, and boy did I, i saw things ,was told stuff, private, I didnt expect all that, but yes I am where he wants me, so Im staying , I have talked to him in the Temple and heard hisvoice, he has talked to me about my family, so he is real so good luck, I wouldnt pay to much attention to all this on line, go by your testamony and keep speaking with heavenly father, the stones were helping him to interpret the gold plates, Satan is trying to confuse people , trust in God

Spoiler alert: CES letter has been debunked by solid LDS scholars years ago. Try Daniel Peterson as a great place to start. I am so sorry you experience a crisis of your faith. Predators are just like ravenous wolves preying upon some of our young and faithful in the church. There are many truly wonderful and faithful learned men and women to support you through a challenging time you face. Do not let anyone tell you the LDS Church is a cult. Those who do so simply have no answer for our Prophets in this very time. They believe no prophets can exist after biblical times.

This is cult training. People who are hungry and haven't had enough sleep are more amenable to brainwashing. With all the church's billion$ they send kids out door-knocking in a brainwashing program when they could be building houses for homeless and feeding the poor. Shameful.

The book of Mormon is really good but the mormon church is not the book of Mormon actually proves all the Mormon teachings wrong the book of Mormon teaches god is 3in1 and jesus is god in the flesh yet mormons don't believe that the book of Mormon also teaches baptism in jesus name yet the Mormons don't believe that the book of Mormon also teaches having more than one wife is against god yet some of the Mormons do that the book of Mormon also teaches we are saved by grace not works the book of Mormon also teaches biblical repentance the book of Mormon does not teach temple marriage or baptism of the dead the book of Mormon teaches jesus as the only leader not Joseph smith tithing is not a new testament thing at all it is for the nation of Israel and the temple the book of Mormon proves Freemasonry and mormonism wrong in fact the book of Mormon is against all secret societies it refers to them as secret combinations.

The way these religious groups go about the recovery process is so backwards anyway.... YOU have the power to recover; where there's a will, there's a way and a church will only provide the ILLUSION of a support system.

Thank you for this. I was an 'investigator' in the Crutch of Joseph Smith of Lying Dumb Snakes for five months and it was the most emotionally draining time of my life. Just about a month shy of my baptism date, I somehow was able to get a minute to THINK, realized what I was doing, and I backed away. They did everything they could to lure me back, whether it was sending missionaries or members of the ward to my home and my JOB or having them bother me over social media. I will fight Mormonism in any way that I can as long as I live, knowing what that church is really about and what they do.
