Love Castle! My cobra 8 has problems with low throttle and soft starts, even on the highest punch level. So disappointing.

Have you tried the newest firmware update? It is 1.14 and it improves sensorless motor operation under heavy loads and hard acceleration, reduces cogging on startup with sensorless and sensored motors. it is free to download with Castle Link 2 program and the USB adapter included with ESC.

I have. Nothing has helped. I changed radio gear twice, the same. I run 2-MMX8S and a mamba x and they run flawless. The cobra for the MT410 runs like junk.

I did the update today and will see if everything is good when I put it back into my Mt410 tonight. Bench test went good.

Ok, now I've put 4 packs through my mt410 and power delivery is much much better in forward. The breaks!? What is going on? Totally stock setting for the first run and snap, the front dif is toast from applying very little break force. Now it glitches randomly when hitting the breaks and just locks the tires up for a split second. I changed the break curve and still dose the same. 😓

If it is a Castle ESC it should not say made in China. If it is a Castle motor, it should indicate COO as China.

Awesome! We have a recommendation for Monster X 8s w/1520-1650kv - 14 pinion/50 spur on 8s = ~60MPH or Monster X 8s w/1717-1650kv - 16 pinion/50 spur on 8s = ~70MPH!

Living in Minnesota this is helpful info. As we can see temps below zero ( -F ) during the winter season. I enjoy snow wheeling with the RC's. (Bomber and Ryft) Helpful info Castle, thank you. Like button energized.

Absolutely true. I’ve tested this and running cold or storage electronics without breaking them in will cause damage. Put it like this, running cold lipos and esc is like jumping out the bed after a long lovely sleep and immediately doing a full sprint run. 9 times out 10 you’re going to pull a hamstring or worse. You have to warm up your muscles and stretch your joints before trying to go all out. And if you ran track and field like I have you know what I mean.

I have a SW 8th in my Slash 4x4. It has full power in reverse, but not in drive. How do I fix it?

It sounds like the throttle channel is backwards. Watch the LEDs on the ESC when pulling the trigger. If red, reverse throttle channel on the transmitter, and then calibrate. If the wheels go the wrong way after you can either swap any 2 motor wires (because it's sensorless) or use a Castle Link to change the motor direction.

My SW4 esc died…then I put a SW3 in it and it’s got auto brake now. Not sure if I’ll keep using castle stuff anymore.

Dear sir, The manual for the sidewinder 3 that Castle have on website to download only show 6 programable options. That manual is not correct, because it have 9 options in program mode, just like you show in your video. I thank you for your help, and please, if you could, tell castle manager to correct the manual on website, because are making clients think they esc is broken, because the order os the 6 options is not even same as the 9 option, so the cars will not have brake and other problems

Just got into the RC hobby and upgraded my esc and motor to Copperhead 10 and brushless motor combo. After researching I found that you guys are located in Olathe KS and I frequently deliver to Topeka and pick up loads from Kansas City and surrounding towns to come back to Idaho. Made me feel a bit of connection and I'm very happy to know these are made in USA! I went ahead and bought myself the Mamba X and brushless motor combo for my next build 👍 also you guys have excellent customer service. The gal that answered my phone call for an order update was extremely polite and helpful. Thanks guys!

Been running mamba micro in my mimi 8ight since the original micro pro, just got my X2 with the external 10amp bec, she's a little tight in there, hope that gets sorted out for the smaller scale rigs. I Like that you guys finally acknowledged that it can indeed be run in a 3lbs 14th scale. By the way I love the x2 so far and she rips of course.

I have two of these. Extremely powerful. The only issue is on one the fan didn't work. Finally flashed new software with castle link and it began working after years. I've heard it's a common issue.

Do you guys have any power output data on your motors? I am looking for info about max sustained output at different rpm's, like a dyno curve....do you have any such data on your motors or just the nearly useless kv ratings?

Dear castle the leader in brushless preformance please just stop by hobbywing school. A place of peace, a place of quiet. No annoying screaming or screaching. Some say its the sound of power..... It is not. The sound you give is not the sound of power but the sound of 1000 crying deer thats being murdered by beers at christmas. When we are at a rock in the silence of the wild explane to me how is the sound of the castle product so pleasing.... to put things bluntly shhhhhh you are to loud

I have a sidewinder SCT and the brakes aren't working. It just goes into instant reverse. If I'm already going in reverse it will just go into instant forward. There is no brakes
