This was amazing, thank you! I was in my 20s in the 90s so really experienced the Seattle grunge scene first person ~ when I’m counting my blessings, I count that.

Every climb being different made it extra risky. But those riggers are amazing. They are the reason he is still alive. It would have only taken one loose bolt…

Pearl Jam changed my life for the better. I discovered them in 1994 and have obsessively listened to them since. I've seen them live many many times and for the last 30 years I have been in love with them.

Deep magazine wasn’t an original part of the Ten Club. When I joined in 1993 we got what was essentially printer paper stapled together with random news and pics on them and fan art. I still have a few of them. I miss the old Ten Club, it’s not the same these days

Not proud of this behavior but, in 1992 my college roommate and I smashed out of our suspended ceiling tiles in our dorm-room so we could hang from our ceiling.....crazy times 😜

we were just different back then. do kids do this kind of stuff these days? campus security probably saved my life a few times forcing me off buildings we foolishly started free climbing at night in the middle of finals. shit, i'm getting off the computer now and gonna do some planks, squats and horse stance. So glad you miraculously survived Eddie, you make me feel like it was yesterday!!

For all the risk and thrill their music didn't provide he either started climbing or started running from an angry audience. That guy is so fake.

No one's mentioned dug pinnick of King's X telling him he doesn't have to do that?! Dug told Eddie one night that, and I paraphrase, "they'll love you no matter what. You can stand in front of the mic and not move, and sing your heart out for the whole show, and they'll still love you just as much". That's how Eddie stopped, and that's why he's still alive today.
