Even though I did grow up with Zelda, it's awesome seeing that so many cool games exist out there that defined other peoples childhoods! I think I played similar games, but that's surely a unique one I never heard about before!

i remember renting this game when i was younger. I could never beat the first boar boss even though you dont have too lol

This is one of my favorite games. Has a more robust fighting system than most 3d platformers. Most just had jump/spin attacks, maybe slide attack and body slam. This game also wasn't linear and involved lots of exploration. Game these days tend to be more linear. I've actually designed/written a sequel, The Legend of Kay 2 - Kaytaysis, that I've been working on pitching to THQNordic, the owners of the Legend of Kay IP. Also, furries would call this game, along with Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper and Crash Bandicoot, a furry game. a furry in the art sense is an anthropomorphic furry animal.
