Sooo.. I just watched the show for the first time in my life. Did a rewatch because I thought I was stupid not to get the things everyone has been pushing but I came to the conclusion that people just can't analyse. Kate was actually in love with Sawyer. When she escaped the island, she started taking care of Aaron for some reason instead of finding relatives of his and working a way to give him to them. She then goes to Cassidy who is the only one who can see through her and tell her she has just gone through a heartbreak because of Sawyer. Kate even tried to develop her relationship with Jack after that but it quickly failed (I'm pretty sure she was trying to forget Sawyer like that). And then the show again shows us a moment between Kate and Cassidy who tells her that she used Aaron as a coping mechanism to try and heal her heart. That's when Kate realized she wasn't supposed to use the kid like that, and she felt obligated to find Claire. She left Aaron with his grandma, and being devastated, she slept with Jack. I feel like her second agenda for coming back to the island was trying to find Sawyer and patch things up again because she never recovered from the heartbreak. I don't know how the writers just kept pushing the idea that she and Jack were soulmates. Maybe that was only in Jack's head 😅

I can never forgive them not being endgame. I felt like kate and Jack had no chemistry and neither did sawyer and Juliet. Kate and sawyer were meant to be, I will never rewatch this show because of how much it killed me that they didn’t end up together. In my mind I try to believe that they spent their lives together after they left the island the second time because both Juliet and Jack were already dead in that life.
