Looking at an ultra black on the weekend, bike looks amazing. I’ve read about the limp mode issue and heard it’s to do with the throttle bodies, AP workshops have a video that might be worth checking out, looks an easy fix. Not sure if you got any further with it

@AdamMc.R1 To be honest I love both of them. But the rsv4 is more powerful and sounds better when on the bike. Plus the R1 needs alot of mods to bring it up to spec. Standard ones are not as good.

@Alex1090-d2j both rsv4 and the latest s1000rr have very good handling once the suspension has been set up properly. There's not alot to choose between them but i think the Rsv4 is slightly better handling

Thanks for the video mate. I just bought a brand new 24 Tuono V4 Factory and had the emergency warning on my first ride out of the dealership about 10 miles in, and the bike went into limp mode! As you can imagine, I was not happy. Took the bike back to the dealership (here in Austin, TX), they hooked it up and the error code was about the exhaust servo motor not being calibrated or something. They said they calibrated it, and I took it back out for a ride and the light comes back on - not a pleasant experience esp considering it was literally the first ride out of the dealership on a $22,000 motorcycle. Went back in to the dealer, they said they'll replace the servo motor itself, and I got the bike back again couple of days back, just in time for then Thanksgiving break. Went out for a ride yesterday, no problems for the first 50 miles or so, and then the bloody light came back on, but the bike didn't seem to go into limp mode. I continued riding for a while and then pulled over to fuel up. When I turned the bike back on, the light was gone and it didn't come back on for the rest of my ride which was about another 50 miles or so. I've owned other Italian bikes in the past (Ducatis though), and have never had issues. Been disapponting so far with this, but when you're on the throttle and hear that V4 engine sing, makes you forget all your troubles. Planning to go for a ride today, hoping it all works.

How did the forks turn out? I thought the DDC forks only had a spring on only one side and damping on the other.

@pax1980 the forks worked out good. As standard the left leg controlls damping and the right leg does nothing at all! It has a spring in the right leg with a preload adjuster only. No damping in the right leg! With stiffer springs and the rebound cartridge in the right leg it was very good. I fully recommend doing this mod f you are over travelling or you find the ride too harsh

@A-Mistake-21 It is so thin and weak that it started splitting around 800 miles. I have just found this is replaceable under warrenty as aprilia know of the defect batch. I've fitted a renthal grip instead for piece of mind!

I have a 2023 tuono 1100 V4F no complaints other than it keeps going in to Limp Mode happened to me 3time on the last time the dealer contacted aprilia and they said this happens a lot and they are aware of this problem and replaced my dash I have put in about 800 miles and all is well. Hope you don't see limp mode again ever very dangers situation when at high speeds

@@YamapriliaThe fuel vapour smell is due to Mr Binouli who's principle states that higher speed of air flow means lower pressure. Thus at high speed your drain pipe has the lowest pressure pulling the fuel air mixture out. I suggest that you move the pipe away from the fairing outside to avoid that.

So did it ever go into limp mode again? Mine just flashed the "Urgent Service!" Red triangle at me and now the check engine light stays on. Taking it in tomorrow for diagnostics. Will let you know when (if) it gets resolved.

Stunning, just finished mine, can I ask do the alloys go straight on, or is there any modifications needed, and the rear spring, I presume that's a bolt off bolt on swop, lastly the indicators, I read you have to fit the relay, but have to say very nice, oh oh and the folks are they a straight swop🤣 sorry😜

@BagsterR1 forks go straight into yokes but you have to fit radial caipers and the 5vy wheels then coz disc offset and size is different. Indicators yes they use a slower relay. Spring is a straight swap

I have a 21 Tuono from new your dealer is my closet one but I go to Peterborough as the service ect is that much better never had an issue but I have friends that use your dealership and all have had some sort of issue with them . I know it’s a Tuono but my plastic fit ent is a hell of a lot better than you show we put up with it because the V4 is the best engine imo ride safe hopefully not in limp mode 🏍🏍👍🎉

You 100% need the lightech chain adjuster. You do not need to make blocks. The chain adjuster is the best upgrade I have made. It will use the full range of that slot in the swing arm.

@Wheelgooddriving this is true. Ive tested it on an exhaust and wiped it of and there's nothing wrong with it. I didn't even wash it off, just wiped it to see if it would cause issues. Maybe it would on titanium or aluminium but ive only tried stainless steel

@@Yamaprilia same mate i only ever tried it on stainless. I normally just hose it off with the water pipe to be fair and if i can be bothered il go over it with autosol for a bit of shine. Always been fine for me though.
