How to access Co settings on 2002 2003 yamaha r1 5pw

What todo with the settings? Italian site tested this on a dyno. Nothing changed no matter the settings.

Hi I can’t get my CO to come up 03 R1 followed your steps but after the first step I hit the select button CO doesn’t come up

Usa spec bikes canot enter Co setting On 4C8 Usa spec bikes there is a green wire going to the ecu that needs to be earthed to be able to enter Co settings Not sure on other models what color wire needs to be earthed I got a 07 R1 4C8 Usa spec & earthed the wire & it works 100%

@@daniejansevanvuuren3644 ive got a 12 and its in with the diagnostic menu(holding reset and select then when 'diag' comes up you hit reset or select and it will change to CO) CO from what research ive done is an adjustment to the air/fuel. Better explained like an electronic version of adjusting carburetor screws. Ohh no earth/grounding needed also.

It is, the wire is red and yellow, comes out the ecu goes down the harness a couple feet max and back to the ecu, ground a sewing needle and use the needle to poke the wire.. settings are now unlocked. I have a 2002 R1 and have did it to mine.

What is the default Co values for 04 R1. I got into dashboard Co settings and find that current value is set to 6 for C1-C4. I cant find default values in service manual, just the method to change Co settings.

There is no default. They are individually set at the factory. If they are all the same then my guess is someones been pushing the buttons or its had a new dash in its lifetime

@@Yamaprilia All 4 is set to value of 6, engine is running fine, fuel consumption is normal.I am not the first owner but i dont think that dash is changed. How to bi sure that value of 6 is correct and if it isnt how to set it correctly. Thanks for your reply.

Default its zero , if you install sport exaust and air filter you mast to change that CO settings from zero to + 10 or + 12 or + 14 set the same value to all cilinders will be a big difference ...

No idea, I just was told they are the CO settings put in from the factory. As a guess I would say you need to have the bike on the dyno to see how much it changes the fueling

@@suhasarpith7003 checked mine today(2012 r1) and all were set at zero besides cylinder 3. Cylinder 3 was set at +5. The settings go from -245 to +245. I zeroed them out. The CO setting is used for air/fuel like the old carburetor style screws only this is an electronic version of it.
