Great video. If the wood is not aged, you will get fret sprouting...from shrinkage. Hopefully the one I ordered has a mature neck. Production-custom, unfortunately they have to be cost effective. The pick up cavity is not shielded, so needs to be insulated. Hey, they figured if you want the original 60 sec humm...there you go!

I am really digging my 73 but I think I want to grab a 61 to match my 60 P bass, its an OCD thing, and its a GAS thing lol.. I have the 72 thinline too and I think these are some of the best guitars Ender has made in a decade. ive been using CME recently and they treat me like royalty man, set up, new strings, always clean as a whistle and ready to go out of the box.

They go for around $2500 - $3000US. For that price they should be immaculate. The gap and the high E string off the neck is unacceptable for the price. I got a 2000 American Series Strat for a third of the price and it was perfect. No quality control issues at all.

I have a 57 magnatone, and thats honestly what you need. Its small, way lighter than either and super nice sounding. Its a rebrand “Harmophone super 130,” I got it for 350 around the turn of the century, but they’re still much more affordable than the real magnatones. It has ruined all other amps for me, but I’m hoping to one day get my hands on one of the new Magnatones to see if they REALLY made a Magnatone. It is nice to have a brand new amp though for gigging and traveling etc. so iI’m really hoping they do. And that a few thousand dollars will fall out of the sky…and rent.

those cases are horrible, chynese specials, they pay maybe $15 a case and charge you $250 for them, the things fenner does anymore is worth never supporting ever again .. they are JUNK cases .. they wanted more for them than you get a good GnG for .. no chit a year ago.. so I bought 2 GnG and sent back the garbage chynese cases... just garbage, then to try and sneak them in like they are quality? a guy would think for $250 its a GnG without the badge, nope, chynese junk

I had a couple MIM strats and teles with the high e string on the edge of the fret and loosening the neck plate screws and moving the neck didn't helped it enough. I recently bought the American Performer Strat Arctic white with RW board and it was 100% perfect out of the box with a perfectly set up floating trem. I am going to buy the American Vint II in the near future and if there is any wrong with it other than a truss rod adjustment due to the weather and minor set up tweaks it will be return for another one.

Thanks for this! I'm going to do a custom Strat build with a 24.75" scale length rosewood neck, and have been going crazy trying to pick the color I want, since I want this to be my forever strat lol. I've kind of changed my taste over the past few months after looking at so many. I'm down to either sonic blue or fiesta red with a mint pickguard. Runner up was transparent butterscotch blonde with a black pickguard.

@@learningguitar7948 man, that’s a tough one. The sonic blue strat that I have a the ‘thin skin’ so it’s a little whiter than others I’ve seen. Hard to beat a fiesta red though. Good luck!!

With my Stapleton Princeton I use the Boss FRV-1 '63 Fender Reverb. Perfect solution. I dig reverb effect, but I prefer the lack of it in tube amps, it complicates the electrical design. You have the Surfy Reverb tank too, a revision of the old ‘63 Fender brown tank.

@@ivan_emege interesting perspective. It used to kind of bother me to have to deal with the extra cables and knobs of a reverb pedal, but I’ve gotten over that, and now I kind of like the flexibility of being able to use different kinds of reverbs.

This is from personal experience, but I've had 3 USA fenders with nitro, 2 with the maple fretboard and yeah, my experience was that is was a sticky neck. (2 AO and one parallel universe) The one with rosewood didnt bother me, but the ample ones yeah, feeling the stickiness on the tip of my fingers made it an unpleasent experience for me. The Urethane fenders with maple, like the standards or professionals didnt feel sticky on the fretboard. I hd the AO 50's tele before, was great though, but sold it. Recently grabbed a Vineras 50's Modified Tele (that is like the same as the Baja Tele), and damn! all those little things I didnt like of the AO, this are covered. 1- The Vintera 50's modified has a satin neck on the back and is uretahne on the fretboard, dont feel any stickiness at all and enjoy it is satin. 2- The frets are medium jumbo, and are not as small as the stock of the AO, that felt really tiny. 3- The neck is a thick soft V that is very nice to the hand. I loved the U shape of the AO, but this one I might like it even more. 4- Love that the neck is tinted yellow. the AO in particular was very white and is just cosmetic, but prefer it tinted. 5- the pickups. the AO are very good, very classic tele. But for my taste, the CS pickups on this one, the broadcaster on the bridge and twisted on the neck I like them better. the bridge has that extar bit of power that I missed, and the neck has that stratty character that I really like. QC, thought the switches or etails on the MIM wouldnt be as good, but the knobs, tuners, toggle switch, bridge, all look same quality as USA. The fretboard edges are not as rolled as the AO, they do more work in those I can see, but suprised on how nice this MIM is. Just sharing my point of view. Great video!!! Love the series youve made on the AVII

I bought the '57 blond with the ash body. The guitar sounds and plays great. The horn strap button (maybe) could have been installed better, but the rest of this guitar build is stellar, and this guitar is just beautiful. The sound just sparkles and spanks. Great touch sensitvity. I really like that is has its own authentic mojo instead of custom shop fake relic mojo (nobody's fooled). So the guitar is highly recommended. The case however is problematic, It's not a G&G (again, nobody will be fooled). It lost a few rivets immediately. Like the first time I picked it up. This may be a biggie for some. The case looks nice, but the hardware is super cheap (the handle mechanism is poorly designed and flimsy). So cheap that I wouldn't trust it outside of anything but storage at home.
