3d printing has its place in protyping . Lasting parts are not that place. My first 3d printer was made with some 3d printed parts. Once I had proof of concept, those parts were replaced with milled parts

I would change the end that connects with the post.. scrap what you have just put an 1/2" hole. Then, connect a short chain with a using an eye bolt. Wrap the chain around the bolt then back to eye bolt.

You’re a great guy. But you do silly things. You know you need a Thc from the first video you tested the machine. The amount of metal sheet you ruined would have paid for your Thc 😅 come on, I want to see you succeed. Stop shooting yourself in the foot cause the “talent” you have is unique. By the way don’t have adhd? Just because the skills you represent and learnt by yourself is a different level I hope you understand that :) I’m planning to do similar in 2025 (about to relocate my life first) Look into powder coating as well. I just had to point out... at 5:29 ferrule connectors are not meant to be used that way. Ferrules are mostly used for screw terminals. Normally the screw will kind of smash/flatten out the wire strands and can end up with a weak connection on a few stands. Ferrules give a good solid connection to lock in. Ferrules are not intended to be soldered onto a connection. Typically the wire itself is soldered on, and ideally some heatshrink is then slide over to cover the exposed areas.

Hey mate, how did you get your RHS Y axis to work with the LHS? Did you require an additional stepper motor on RHS, and if so did this require an extra driver or did you just run both motors off same driver? Did you just basically use the same parts and flip them around on the RHS?

@@ThyialIndustries Thanks, I managed to get that working, next issue is when I have E-Stop connected to Analogue GND and Analogue pin 1(feed hold pin) and enable the door switch alarm option in the config.h file, seems to trigger door alarm every-time I move only the Y axis without E-Stop active. How did you get your E-stop to work, do you use the door switch option? I like the door switch option as the machine can pause/continue the job after e-stop is pulled out and after you acknowledge the alarm. Not sure why only the Y axis gas the issue of triggering it randomly :/

I was going to say, I was going to build my own, but dollar to cents, I spent 1 day setting up my Langmuir Pro, and made over 3k the next day in use. Had I done it your way I would have spent days fabricating the new table. Which if anything went wrong I would have had to trouble shoot myself. So if i took that savings minus having the unit in service an extra day or two, Certainly was better to just buy the Langmuir, than build my own, and I already had the servos, linear controls etc. Also your machine didn't appear to be a complete apples to apples comparison, was yours belt driven or did it use the same linear motion setup like the Langmuir?
