Much like The Gang Turns Black (another episode that experiments with the format) this is a pretty divisive episode. Some people (me included) love it, others hate it. Can't deny the craftsmanship though. Also, this is the only episode that is never explained. We don't know if this is a fantasy or a dream or a movie the gang made (unlikely because it's way too competently made and there's no way the Waitress would agree with doing this)
@jenniferellis227510 сағат бұрын
I see it as something the gang actually did but for some reason Charlie was on a film noir kick and he decided to make himself the main character in one. Like this is his idea of what happened but everyone else would tell it differently. Just realized that is the plot of The Gang Saves the Day, but with that realization my theory makes even more sense.

The show started going downhill for me when I started watching their podcast. I have a hard time not seeing the person behind the actors. Glenn and Rob are completely immersed in Hollywood Douche culture; pretentious, arrogant and way less funny than they think. Rob, particularly, is a massive coward when it comes to censorship. Charlie Day on the other hand sounded like a normal funny guy. Charlie = "Funny is funny." Rob & Glenn = "Funny is funny... until feelings are hurt."

As a film noir nut I do love this episode even if it is a bit ham fisted (most actual noir films are much darker in tone) but still lots of fun.

It's nice to see you address how you've liked the show but people still make those comments because I was thinking "am I watching the same videos as everyone else?" haha. I find it kind of annoying when people do things like that (i.e. telling every reactor that Community season 4 is bad) and don't just let people form their own opinion.

2:25 A "tête-à-tête" (head to head ) not to confuse with "face to face". It conveys the idea of two people having a private talk (could be either a romantic or business date). Unbeknownst to her, in this case it was both.
