Is one of the pink wires getting 12 v from the orange to the PCM, and then fed back to the small pink? I have a crank no start and what I did was tie all pinks together. They get 12v on ignition and start. Wondering if one of those pinks is trying to feed power and then I’m connecting power to power.

What is done for the starter no relay needed?
@y5mgisi11 ай бұрын

Let me see if I'm understanding this. I have a 99 firebird that originally came with the v6. Are you saying that I can get the adapter and then use the oil pressure sensor that came out of the 99 firebird and use that on my 5.3 that I'm putting in it?
@y5mgisi Жыл бұрын
Correct. Although your 99 might use the same oil pressure gauge ohms as the 5.3 and might be able to use the 5.3 oil pressure sensor. I swapped a 90 chevy pick up with an 03 chevy 5.3 and was able to just use the 03 oil pressure sensor to feed the 93 gauge.
@scottschaos4376 Жыл бұрын
@@y5mgisi the sensor on the 5.3 is a 3 wire connection. I believe the one on the 99 v6 is a two wire connection. I tried to use the 5.3 one, connecting two of the wires to where they pin into the PCM and using the 3rd wire to the gauge. It pegs the oil pressure to 100 and keeps it there.
@y5mgisi Жыл бұрын
@@scottschaos4376 the ecm doesn't need to know the oil pressure. So in that case, I'd use the adapter and run the 99 v6 oil pressure sensor.
