Not sure I buy the color analysis. I have not liked your recent color change but think it would look really good with cool blonde highlights. I didn’t agree with most of your head shots . Your light blue looks good today and brings out beautiful eyes. I did not like that mauvey brown color you wore one day with the hair color.

Just one more comment. I don’t think the results of color analysis mean you can’t wear any color you want to. The analysis only shows you which color palette is most flattering on your skin tone. I am also a cool tone light summer palette. The book I have has a broader range of colors that suit me than are on your chart. The one great disappointment I had is that I LOVE green. It has always been my favorite color. Yet according to my skin tone, it doesn’t suit me unless it is a very specific Jade green (more like teal green color) and I always loved or was drawn to the more yellow leaning greens (olives and other grungy greens). I’m trying to wear the more blue greens and they really do look better on me. But it is a huge shift. And I too wonder how I can be so attracted to a color that really doesn’t suit me? It’s odd.

I always think colour analysis is interesting but have always held the view that we should wear whatever makes us happy. I'm an autumn, but I don't stick to it at all, I pick and choose colours based on what I feel like that day so I'm happy to hear you are not going to stop wearing the colours you love like peach and orange. As long as you feel beautiful in what you wear that's all that matters ❤

I am looking at your makeup and you have on cool blue eye makeup but also you have warm lipstick. I guess you would be spring or Autumn. I think you are warm. But could be completely wrong.

Hi! I'm a professional seasonal colour analyst and I have thoughts. Fisrt of all, a colour is warm, when it contains more yellow, and cool, when it contains more blue (red is neutral from this point of view). I think, that the palettes and the method (based upon the images that you have shown) are very confusing. For example, there is a bright fucsia in the winter palette, and some kind of violets in autumn and spring palette, but violets are cooler colours, than fucsias. Second, if you are checking the warmness or the coolness of colours, then other colour qualities (softness/brightness and lightness/deepness) should be the same. If you compare, for instance, a soft fucsia to a bright orange, or a soft, medium brown to a black, that can lead to a very fals result. This sweater looks flattering on you, which has a light, cool blue colour. I think (based on the light soft pink and soft orange comparison) that you have light and slightly cool complexion and eyes (maybe Light Summer). In this case you should change your hair/eyebrow colour to ash blond/light ash brown, because now you look like a Light Spring (the hair and eyebrow colour make your skin sallow, and not in a good way). But I may be mistaken because of the camera and screen settings, and you can easily be a Light Spring really. 🙂I think that you could decide, if you compared the light/medium summer and spring colours on yourself. I hope, that I could help. 🙂

Hi, really interesting! I had my colours done about 30 years ago by colour me Beautiful ( they may not exist any more and if they do would certainly have evolved!). I like you am a summer. I had a little wallet given me and although it had the colours you have been given, I also had muted greens browns and reds included, almost autumn colours but cool versions, if that makes sense.

I can appreciate the science behind the art of colour analysis but I don’t trust the human aspect of it: the interpretation of the expert may be biased in their own view. Hi Hannah, I agree with you summer/ spring shades are pretty on you,however I love peachy/ orange tones on you like your jumper that you wore in your “ will I buy it “ video, and autumn tones that are muted (greens, burgundy rather than orange reds) I feel if you feel good about yourself in a particular colour/ style of makeup or clothing you will project more confidence and have a glow in your overall appearance,you do what gives you joy that’s what I think. Orange is directly opposite blue on the colour wheel, its the complimentary colour to blue, so it would make your eyes stand out. But what does it do to your skin? My first thoughts about you were that you’re spring. Your hair and eyebrows look warmish to me. However, if I cover your hair up, your skin seems to pull cooler. If you’re neutral to cool you could be a light summer (bordering with spring) or a soft summer (bordering with autumn). True summer would be fully cool. I don’t know that I’d look at you and say, could she be autumn. I’m more likely to look at you and say, could she be spring. But is that because the hair seems to pull warm to me? Could be the lighting, I don’t know. One of the blue greens you like looks to be a spring green to me, maybe more of a warm spring. I do think you look good in light colours, such as the summer digital drapes, and you look good in that blue top you have on. What if the top was a smokier blue, I wonder how that would look. If you were a light summer or a soft summer you could potentially use some colours from light spring or soft autumn. That might be where the itch for orange comes from, maybe depending on the chroma and how warm the hue leans, maybe there is an orange that wouid suit. Just some rambles here 😄

I think in the ‘final drapes’ winter/summer the burgundy is a bit too heavy

I thought you were a summer or possibly some kind of spring. I know video monitors vary, but to me I see a little red (strawberry) in your hair and eyebrows.

Loved this video and I would agree that Summer colors suit you. But I also think you shouldn’t give up on the blacks, oranges, peaches and coral that you love. The analysis should only be used as a guideline and definitely NOT the Bible.

I definitely think you are a summer! But that doesn’t mean other colors don’t suit you. I think that just means light blues and pinks look best on you. Also I think it’s possible to have some other colors looking great on you. Mine is very confusing as I think I am a winter. I have cool tone and my favorite colors are always bright gemstone colors. I look horrible in beiges and look great in whites and blacks. Gold don’t look good on me, but somehow my hair look better in golden colors rather than ash colors.

I had a feeling you had cool undertones and wondered why you often wear warm colors! I did it for my 60th birthday last year and it was really interesting! It has changed the colors I wear in clothing and makeup!

Hello Han: This was interesting. I am not surprised by the result of the analysis. I think that with the right makeup, including bronzer, you can straddle summer and spring, and maybe even autumn. I am glad you decided to continue wearing the colours you enjoy, even if they’re not in the right season.

I’m so excited for this video! I remember you taking about this a while ago. I noticed after your appointment that you didn’t wear black as much, and you started wearing cooler colors. I spent 2 full years researching my own colors during Covid. It’s a topic I really enjoy. I’m sorry, but I don’t fully agree with your Summer analysis. I think you are muted/soft but I think the slightly warmer tones look better on you. However, it could be that your camera or lighting adds lots of warmth to your videos. On my screen your hair looks strawberry blonde. Caitriona Balfe is the perfect example of a summer. Our coloring is almost exactly the same, but my hair and eyes are slightly darker. I have warm undertones with rosacea, so I was diagnosed as cool for most of my life. My eyes are a dark blue and I have mousy, strawberry blonde hair. I consider myself a soft autumn, as slightly warmer tones suit me best. Soft summers and soft autumns are sister seasons, so they share a lot of colors. I can wear some colors from soft summer, and I can wear some colors of true autumn. When I wear black I just make sure it’s a lower neckline. I think you’ll find that you can wear both cool and warm shades, as long as they are muted and light to medium. You could also try doing cool makeup vs warm makeup and see which you like better. I personally think you are possibly a soft autumn or a ‘true muted’ which sits between soft summer and soft autumn. So glad you're not ruling out your beloved orange! The best advice I ever heard from a color analyst was that you can wear any color you like, it's simply a matter of finding the right hue/tone of that color. Every color has a shade variant you can find that will look lovely on you. Loved this video!✌️🧡🧡

I think you're gorgeous, as you know, but I disagree with many of these things. First of all I really like you in black and I think the brown pulls the color from your face. I like the bolder colors in the Winter category for you. They look great on you and are very flattering. Cobalt blue, red, and even purple look beautiful and make me see your face before the color, in spite of them being bolder than those you gravitate toward. But you look very good in your peach makeup. These color analyses should be guidelines, not Rules, if you follow me. You're right about the silver. But you skew Winter to me. And since you do it yourself, the first thing you may want to change is your hair color. I loved you as a blonde. You are a standout in that. But, if the bleach is too hard on your hair, think about going darker and becoming a brunette. Your analyst was wrong IMO. That brown made you disappear. Wear black and white. People will notice you in that. You're a beauty. Preen! Feel free to wear the colors you love. But they will all look better if you find the best hair color for your skin tone first. And wear those brights. I've seen you in bright pink. You look great. And why compare black to washed out blue? Honestly, looking at how they do this, and these comparisons, much of it is nonsense. Wear the black for sure. And wear that blue. You look good in both. Bottom line, she was dead wrong on the brown vs. black thing and that is throwing the whole analysis off. Brown makes you disappear. I think you are a Winter who can also wear Summer Shades. Also, try a true navy instead of those washed out navies in their palettes. I will never waste my money on this. I knew Carol Jackson who wrote the original Color Me Beautiful book and started this color analysis trend in the 1980s. She was a bitch, but a rich bitch. She made a mint from insecure women who doubt their own eyes and own opinions. Seems the system hasn't changed. What was good about this analysis was your own opinion. FYI, I twigged to the hair color thing before you even got to it. I like you in light blonde hair. There are cool shades in blonde. Go to a hairdresser and get it done properly. I really don't like the hair color you have now. it isn't flattering. I fades your beauty. A good colorist will weave multiple shades in a balayage. I color my hair for the same reason you do, and I have it done professionally. I do my own nails, but hair needs to be done right. Professional color is healthier for your hair. And a good colorist will do their Own color analysis of your skin tone and hair color. In person. Because as we all know, just from buying makeup, internet colors aren't accurate. I hope you don't take offense at anything I've said. I love you and your channel. And I hope to see you glow and be confident. Black is not too bold for you. Wear a black top and great jewelry with your fabulous makeup. That lady was wrong. Also, I've never seen you in clothing colors that I thought didn't flatter you. Remember I even asked you where you got your things because I liked the way they looked on you. So please rethink this. My opinion. You asked. The minute I opened this video, I thought: "She looks fantastic in that pale blue sweater!" And the eyeshadow! I am also a true summer with very similar coloring to yours. But fear not: you CAN still wear peach. It just needs to be a cool peach (a pink-leaning peach), not an orange-based peach. You can also still wear your black dresses & coats - something near your face to complement will help. Golds can be very neutral: that Natasha Denona gold palette I find leans very neutral, it's not warm at all. Luckily for me, the summer colors are what I'm naturally drawn to. It definitely does not mean you can never wear black again. As a true summer, I often wear a black cocktail dress & it definitely still works. You simply adjust by making sure the makeup/accessories near your face are cool-toned.

I think your a Summer. But remember Summer is any ‘tone’ of colour (Tone is a hue/colour with grey added). No colours are off the table per se but if your a Summer you will lean towards the more muted almost sun bleached version of a colour (hue with grey added). Orange/peach is still in your go zone just not perhaps the bright version but rather something a little more desaturated.

I'm terrible at this, but I thought a number of the bright colors really bring out the color of your skin and are flattering. I think the paler colors fade you out. In other color analyses I've seen there are 3 varieties per seasons with different intensity for each.

Hannah i am so excited for you. I thought you were summer and when you changed your hair it worked in harmony more. I do think you need to make your eyebrows ashier to help. I was so keen to hear your experiences as i have also had my colour analysis done recently. I also thought i was a summer but it wasnt quite working (esp. Grey) then tge bomb was dropped. I am a True Spring! I was so shocked but since i was thought a coral top I can totally see it. I have now booked a hair appointment as my hair has gone ashier as i have aged (48 too) do i need to inject some golden honey into it. In your will you buy video, i admired your jumper. I think you are a light summer, you can pull more color than only softs ones. Then your sister season is light spring. If you are a soft summer, than your sister season is soft autumn. The palettes are bigger than she used. 12 is more common. That means that maybe some colors of warmer palettes can suit you too! I’m a bright spring and some wintercolors I can wear too! My mom is a light spring, so some light summercolors are definitely fine for her too. I got an analysis in person and all the colors I’ve seen on me. It was so interesting! Glad you agreed with the majority of the analysis and maybe your hair and brows needs that extra coolness. Enjoy the colorjourney! It’s so fascinating!!

I find it all a bit confusing and stressful 😮, if i put a colour on that makes me look a bit pale i change my makeup, light pink is a problem but other than that i wear any colour.

I had also my colour analysis done once and I also read about it a lot on my own. I always felt cool tones looked better on you. Tom Ford Black diamond eye pallet was the best eye make up i ever saw on you!

Since I have rosacea whatever enhances the red in my skin would be ruled out. But I like those colours and I don’t go out feeling my best without covering my redness anyway so I don’t want my skin condition to dictate my colour palette. And I feel like you can make (almost) any colour work by adjusting your makeup…

I suspected that you were a summer, as am I, because blush shades that suit you tend to suit me too. I also like ND INAW but use the chalkier/milkier shades in that more easily. I struggle with bronzer and contour but like the RMS Maiden's Blush as blonzer and Westman's contour in Biscuit. I can wear peaches but only if they are soft/milky with some pink/red. Would love to find a red lipstick, but am happy with mauve pinks. I look forward to seeing more of your eye looks and makeup reviews! Xx
