EZ volt a kedvenc deckem. Anno 2012-ben mikor kijött PC-re az MTG, Jace és az illusion, unblockable, hexproof bandája vált a kedvencemmé egészen addig amit abba ne hagytuk. Még meg is vannak itt a fiókban. :D

I’ve played almost all of Score’s games and haven’t found one I didn’t like. Yu Yu Hakusho is actually one of the games I haven’t played yet. I think Bleach is their strongest TCG, but they’re all awesome. Great video as always, Buzz!

Useless to have sasuke + book of moon as the monster he attacks needs to be in face up attack possition for his effect to trigger

I miss playing this game. I kept my cards and swore I'd never get rid of them. Eventually, I'll find folks that wanna play it. The three battlefields always felt perfect for a Star Wars game.

Options to consider: Pretty much any Tribute monster of your choice: With the swarming capabilities of GKs you can easily put pressure on your opponent with stuff like Monarchs, Jinzo, Airknight, Mefist, etc. Mystic Tomato: More searching. United We Stand: You can easily pump up any of GKs to over 3000 ATK with this and Necrovalley. Ceasefire: More synergy with the swarming.

I've played illusions for a long time, since modern's introduction. The biggest issue is the budget. Unless you already play Merforlks in the format, you're going to invest a lot into an archetype that's barely supported. Biggest hurdle used to be Aether Vials, but you thank WotC for killing Death & Taxes and other weenie swarm deck after Modern Horizons 2. Then there's fetch lands... then Mutavaults... Cavern of Souls... Again, the monetary cost versus win-rate is really bad, unless you're playing kitchen table jank with friends, or "leftovers" like we call it. Leftovers being "pack filler" or failed archetypes. I really wish the WotC would go back and strengthen swarm strategies, like B/W tokens, D&T, etc; but they're too focused on Commander/EDH bombs and purposely warping eternal formats to force competitive players to constantly upgrade their decks. I never trusted MTG Goldfish for their deck techs, since they're pushing for views and content. So whatever "deck" they're promoting, they never play against "experienced" players or edit out their loses. It's for the optics of maintaining how "pro" their writers and staff are, when the reality is, their decks aren't great nor do they cover match-up strategies.

Yeah, 13 years after LotU and Phantasmal Image, not even 1 illusion lord got printed. Spirits got idk, is it 4 now? It's like wotc just totally forgot illusions was even a thing.

Wow now thats a killer pokemon lineup and that Blaine's Arcanine is a show stealer. Also looks like the cards dont have rarity symbols, so Im guessing the cards themselves are printed specifically for the deck itself? The 3 rares and two holos is quite an inclusion as well.

It is a nice deck, isn't it?! Blaine's Arcanine was my jam as a kid, but I definitely would have included the Ninetales too if I had one. Are you visiting my channel on a nostalgia trip or do you play Pokemon nowadays too?

Ive bought a few theme decks because I love the art on the boxes (zap and overgrowth so far), but its also nice to see your reviews since there arent many channels like yours. All the other channels only talk about the $ (almost all poketubers are very shallow with unimpressive knowledge of the game and history) whereas here you are actually breaking down the decks construction in the context that it was made.

@@roy12121 Appreciate that you like my content. The Pokemon theme decks have been a big part of my childhood and I want to share the feel good factor. 😊 Zap was my first theme deck along with the 2 player Machamp starter! Base set Mewtwo is not the best card to play but the foil art is sooo pretty!

I had 2 of these box sets as a kid that I got from KB Toys Store in California, Im pretty sure thats the original coin, sadly the majority of my card collection got stolen so I cant verify.

If what you say is true, then I'm very surprised! Wotc didn't do any other metal coins until the Neo Genesis theme decks. Glad you found my video and I hope it gave you a fine minute or two of nostalgia. 😊

Oh and I dont remember what creepy kid youre mentioning. I played through the game that was included a few times but that was literally over 20 years ago.

One of the 25th anniversary edition release had a metal coin included and I thought whom I purchased this from had just slotted that into this box to sub for the OG coin. Hence my surprise when you wrote the metal coin IS original.

I have no real knowledge of why it is 30 cards. But it used to be very common (still is to some companies) to have a smaller deck sized starter deck. Predominantly to entice players to buy boosters to have a legal deck size.

Ran a similar deck for a long bit years ago, although mine wasn't as creature-heavy, no Mist and no Automaton but had Snapcaster and white splash. It's unfortunate that for 10 years or so no decent cards for the tribe got printed at all. No efficient beater or even just one more lord, while there were tons of Spirits and Merfolk. Dream Strix could've been great but Lesson cards aren't really that great for the deck.

@@buzzsaiyan Some, but they don't play well with Illusions. Unsettled Mariner looked nice at first glance, if only its ability triggered before targeting. The others that have potential also have target conditions that make them unusable.

Mariner can be good to name humans to try to protect lord of the unreal abit whilst also bolstering krovikan mist and can be a general protection for the non sacrificing illusions
