Great interview. These guys were 100% charisma, even at this stage and with Brian in poor health all four of them just gell so well together. Mick's dry humour, Andy's smile, Brian's enthusiasm and Steve just being Steve ("S'pose I should look at the camera shouldn't I? Hi!"). Brilliant. Sweet forever!

If only they coulda got back together for a successful reunion and put all those hair bands and the future grunge garbage to shame ..but unfortunately Brian couldn't have handled the high stress of a full fledged tour and maybe an album...his health had gotten too bad... because there was only one true "Sweet" and that was Andy/Mick/Steve/Brian together...! They were magic ❤

People never thought the sweet can play that good turning out pop records but all of them where good musicians playing in bands before sweet 🎉

Mick has been my favorite drummer since discovering the Sweet as a young teenager of 15 or 16.... The more I heard him the more I realized how special and one of a kind he really was. Made me really happy to see him getting a lot of recognition on this thread. One of the best rock drummers from the 70s bar none! RIP MTC

One looked like a fat gay. One looked like death warmed up. One looked totally out of place. The oniy normal one was Scott. Overall, Sweet looked like the sad, washed-up, dated teenybopper has-beens they were.

Mick was in my view one of the top twenty rock drummers of all time. If you look at Motley Crue for example, Tommy Lee looks like Mick, twirls the sticks like Mick, and even drums like Mick although Mick is far superior. Andy was correct that Mick could have played in any major rock band in the 70s without any cares. Andy himself is an excellent guitarist. It was just the glam rock reputation of the Sweet that interfered

I loved The Sweet when I was a kid. I still love The Sweet now. They were unique. Obviously they never realised it at the time. If you go cruising with P&O you'll find they play Sweet songs A LOT. And everybody gets up for them. All ages. Nuff said.
@barrymitchell64449 ай бұрын
P&O are the ones who sacked their UK staff, replacing them with badly underpaid foreigners. So I totally understand the cheapskates using Chinn & Chapman's dated teenybopper songs.
