also considering to buy a lathe. since nowadays apperantly machine shops no longer work. spent 3 months looking for a shop throughout all of germany, all I wanted was a part getting smoothly shaved down by 5mm. they either ghosted me or said they wouldnt do it or wanted to chage me 2000-3000euro. this is at best a 2hour job(if you have two broken hands that is) how is the estimte 2000+ euro?
@TheBeardx16Күн бұрын
I think its likely that they ridiculously inflated the price to avoid the job, as its not worth their time, to be honest. Shame I'm in the UK as I would of done it in a few minutes for you. If you do end up buying a machine lathe, this model is great; it just lacks variable speed, that's all.

Hi thanks for a great video. I have this in my basket, can I ask did you pay custom charges on this in the UK thanks

Hi, I'm glad and here to help. I didnt pay any charges at all, as i think Thomas at Bentwood marked it as a gift on the shipping details
