You're amazing. I wish you were here in California. I'd love to meet you. I'd love to persue this field, however I'm not a confident speaker. This might sound like a dumb question, but will an SLP student learn to be a better speaker in the program?. The negative voice in me is saying that I shouldn't even try because I'm not very articulate. I take a while to come up with the right words and I say "um" alot. I'm trying to improve my speaking just so I can be an SLP. But should a student even try to persue this career if they themselves aren't good at speaking? I have an LVN under my belt, worked in peds but I see myself doing this work. But I'm just not good at speaking compared to SLPs and SLP students I have seen.
