bien joué mais je trouve le tempo un peu lent d'ailleurs ce serait un peu plus facile vos trilles ne sont pas assez rapides

Cet imposant instrument avec des sonorités si solennelles,frissons et emotion garantis.. très beau.

A really forced pace, unworthy and unnecessary, that clouds the remarkably good acoustics of this instrument that surely would have lovingly received a more profoundly respectful tempo and rewarded it richly. An unfortunate display of energetic technique over considered substance. Oh, well; respectfully, if only I had your chops.

The violinist is playing the violin, oboe and recorder parts as well. The ensemble would be better with a oboeist and flautist. Though well played, the tempo is just a tad too slow for my liking. For the trumpeter at 0:13 he didn't play the trill.

Die Darbietung klingt wie eine Frühform des II. Konzertes. So könnte eine frühere Version in Köthen erklungen sein.

Fine performance, but it would have been even better with an oboe and flute player.

Perfect example of a majestic piece played TOO FAST and inaccurately. Absolutely NO care taken to observe the acoustics of the building. The organist's ridiculous ornaments have ruined this. Wearing a tail coat and nice shiny shoes does not make for a fine musical presentation! Slow it down and LEARN the notes!

I hear this often played too lightly, like the queen is a little waif, bouncing down the isle, and not like the celebration with pomp and celebration like it should be. This performance is right on!

It sounds like the trumpet guy is playing the original trumpet part and the violin player plays the violin, flute and oboe parts.

I've no doubt that this is a great performance, but is the Queen of Sheba running in a marathon? One thinks not! This is quite rushed in my view...

they seem a bit slack (because slow and linked) I like this interpretation because it is very pure but for me it isn't the spirit, and without oboe and flute it can't be the actual brandenburg. But I won't reproach this, all the approches are interesing if it's well made !

On the organ, which is one of the oldest in central Germany (1664), the young George Frideric Handel learned to play the organ.

Thanks for the info Stephan. I was curious as it looked positively ancient. It seems to be well maintained though.Where I live in Philadelphia Pa we have a very large tracker organ in a dept store at the old wanamakers in center city. They're still working on that one, but, most of it works. That one is from the 1920-1930's a baby still, right? LOL
@epincion5 жыл бұрын
The small choir organ you see in the video dates from 1663-1664. The large organ being played is new by Schuke/Sauer in 1984 and built inside the old case of an organ built in 1713 by Christoph Cuntzius.

Very nice playing, and very musical and authoritative. Would be better to have the mics closer so the reverberation wouldnt cloud the melody so much. Otherwise a great video.
