This was brilliantly taught! Thank you for the basics. This has helped me understand how Six Sigma simplifies metrics.

Very good point about using the basic tools. Perhaps the Pareto 80/20 principle applies here. But we perhaps spend 80 percent of our learning time on the 20% that we don’t use very often.

Six Sigma is a destructive scam based on pure farce. It was created by psychologist, Mikel Harry. Harry claimed that all processes drift by +/-1.5 sigma, every 50 measurements, making them wildly out-of-control and unpredictable. It is hence impossible for a Six Sigma process to produce quality product, no matter where specification limits are set. Harry based his ludicrous claim on the height of a stack of discs! EVERY aspect is as worthless as its laughable foundations. Dr Wheeler, the world’s leading process statistician, calls Six Sigma “GOOFY”. CBS calls it the most stupid fad of all time. Of the 58 large companies that announced Six Sigma programs, 91 percent have trailed the S&P 500 since. Six Sigma destroyed its once best reference GE ... before they tossed the trash out. Why do people turn their backs on the great men of QUALITY: Professor Deming, Professor Lewis, Professor Ishikawa, Dr Shewhart and Dr Wheeler, for the lunacy of psychologist/salesman Mikel Harry.

Welding is a science that is well served by Six Sigma. Glad you're interested and have benefitted from the video. There is no PPT file to share. All the images came directly out of the QuikSigma software. You can find books and the QuikSigma software at company.promontory.management/us/All-Products/c/1.

On an Xbar chart, you need statistically-defined "action limits" to prompt action to be taken, but the process is still producing compliant results.

For a while now thinking about pursuing this area of career.I used to work in a process industry for 2 years then switched to theme park field.Working in the maintenance department.I wanted to go into the quality side of things..Will a six sigma green belt certification help me to do that..And what's my career scope would be...please answer..Thanks
@QuikSigma5 жыл бұрын
A lot depends on your personal situation and background. In general, a Six Sigma Green Belt is helpful in almost any career, and is especially helpful if you want to work in Quality. But note that there is great variation in the quality and content of Six Sigma programs. Some are excellent, and some very poor. You might want to look at www.six-sigma-standard.com/ to see what a program should be.

How to find sigma level from patient satisfaction table? Is it possible to find it in excell?
@QuikSigma6 жыл бұрын
I need to know a bit more about what you mean by "patient satisfaction table". In most cases, translating into sigma levels is not productive. In most cases, people seeing the sigma levels have to translate them back to DPPM in order to understand what they mean.
@azmulhossen47876 жыл бұрын
@@QuikSigma Thanks for response. Say, i have taken a survey in medicine words from patients to know their satisfaction level. Example Question 1. Are you satisfied with the arrival frequency of the doctors? a) satisfied b) moderate c) dissatisfied Like this i have taken the ans of 34 questions from 140 patients. Then i found the percentage of satisfaction, moderate or dissatisfaction for every question through excel. My main target is to improve patient satisfaction by applying lean six sigma. Is it possible to find out sigma level in this case? Otherwise what can i do? I beg your help. Thank you.
@QuikSigma6 жыл бұрын
I think that finding sigma level won't help you much. There is no information in a sigma score that is not already in a statement about what percent of patients are satisfied or not. Calculating sigma does not add information and will not help you make a better decision. If your 34 variables have only 3 states, analyzing the data can be tricky. If you're trying to do it in Excel, it's not likely to be fun. I don't think I can make a short, free statement that will fix the problem for you. We do have a lot of consulting experience, and would be happy to take a more in-depth look at it at our regular rates.

?how did you calculate the capability
@QuikSigma6 жыл бұрын
Capability is an index. Ppk, probably the main index you should be concerned with, is the number of standard deviations between the mean of the process and the nearest specification limit. You might find this video helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGepm5yXl5areZI. The topic is more fully covered in the QuikSigma textbook, which you can order from our web page.
