Exact same problem on my 850i gator lost power glowing red exhaust and just needed plugs

I do want to say after this video I determined it would probably be worth expoxy repairing this plastic fan rather than all the work taking it out. After I took it out it did not want to come off and yes I followed the direction of the arrow. Two sets of vise grips and I couldn't get it apart.

I have the 860m and I have the EXACT same issue... How did you test the plugs? Can you use a standard plug tester? Did it end up being the plug or the coil pack? I only have 22 hours on the gator... this is ridiculous if they have this kind of quality issue and haven't resolved it considering mine is a newer RSX with the exact same problem.

Does this gator have the possibility of connecting with the scanners?

Same issue with my 2015. My fault for letting it sit too long (about a year) I bought it used in 2016 with 30 hours and thought it ran well. Used it off and on the last few years and parked it last fall. Got it out a few days ago, ran fine, (I thought). Starting sounding strange with about half power. Bought a tune up kit (Plugs, Oil/Filter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, and Plugs). Watched your video BEFORE I started digging into it. Did the tune up....HOLY SHIT! I thought it ran well before! Ended up the front plug wasn't working. GREAT VIDEO!

Had the exact same problem. Changed plugs and had to change exhaust. Exhaust got so hot like yours. But it acted plugged up still. Guessing baffles got plugged. In my theory, was old fuel. Hadn’t used it in a year and took it for a ride. Always use fresh gas!

I have an issue similar to this, 2006 fusion. My issue is I got the car without any turn signal bulbs in the front, I went to lordco and got new bulbs, after installation they just won’t turn off, they stay on solid, even with vehicle off and doors locked. Any advice?

Could you just tap into the rear signal and run that wire to the front bulb and just run the negative side of the bulb to a ground? Or does it need/require the relay?

where did you pick up the lr turn signal signal?

I have the exact same problem same front turn signal. Would you happen to know the color of the wire you spliced into under the dash to get the signal to the relay. And why can’t you just go straight to the bulb cutting the wires and still adding the inline dummy bulb elsewhere to keep the dash code clear . 12 volts is 12 volts. Why the relay.

I have a similar situation only the daughter left and the car is still here...lol

I suppose it’s still better than paying hundreds for a new one. LKQ wants 50 bucks for a used one here. And there’s no guarantee it will work.

Do your front turn signals come on when you hit the brakes?

O.K I got the problem (ford fusion 2006) with the back turn signal, Seem the wire for back turn signal be cut or stupid (smart junction box) don't do is job. Did you know the wire colour of the back turn signal wire ? If you can make it work for the front probably it will work for the rear if the wire are not cut anywhere, but both the wire will be surprising. The hazard work in fronyt but not in rear. Brakes, light work fine just the blinker circuit seem affected. What miss in the video are which number of the relay goes to where ? The number 30 is the power supply but the othe numbers goes to which wires ?

Couple questions. Why would this wiring make the front signal come on with the brake lights if it's tied in to the rear turn signal? And how did you wire in to the smart panel under the dash? Did you just stuff a wire in next to a fuse? The problem I'm having is the front running lights never turn off and the car acts as if the front bulbs are out so it blinks faster than normal when you signal. Weird.

do you still have those step by step intructions. I know it been a year ago Garret Neeld, but I am having the same problem you did and I don't wan to give Ford any money either. never did electric stuff. and trying to find some one to do the work is Crazy too.

I was asked why the front turn signal also acts like a brake light as well. Tying into this circuit will do that. I never fixed that problem because my daughter was in a damn hurry to take the car. It wasn't a perfect solution just a cheap one.

sorry I never get on here, I don't intentionally ignore people I just work 12 hrs a day 6 days a week. Damn people eat to much candy lol. I will have to do a step by step soon if you guys still want it.

That red wire you see tied to chassis ground is my ground. I didn't have a black wire to represent ground to be proper. Sorry for confusion.

You ground the wire coming out of the bulb connector to chassis ground.

Sorry, yes it's grounded. This was taken on my new phone so I didn't get into a lot of detail because I was trying to keep my new S6 clean that didn't have any protection yet.

Thank you for the help. I could essentially tuck the old housing unit in somewhere, and just install a new housing that is getting power from the relay, and ground it to complete the circuit? I guess I am just confused because I can see the power go into your new bulb housing from the relay, but, I do not see any ground connections coming out of the bulb housing to complete the circuit. Do not try and tie this new circuit power to the circuit that failed and back feed it !

Also I didn't mention you have to cut the existing wire to the front signal and wire it to an old light socket with bulb or a resistor and ground or your dash will show a fault. That failed circuit still wants to see that something is there.

Yes I tapped it under the dash. Now be careful because there are two wires coming out with the same color. They are two separate gauge wires. Match up the gauge in the back and then use a test light to verify.
