Hi man i need some help, im getting a few sheets of 2x4ft plywood sheets, will this be ok for the middle part of ramp like transition. Im not sure if it will be too small. Thanks

For a ramp this size that should work just fine!

Same here! It actually really trips me out that I've got it in my bag now. I have a couple of nice local 3' and 4' quarter pipes I'm planning on taking this to in the spring!

Hey Will, I’ve heard mixed things about this board that it isn’t a good at tricks as a normal popsicle, but can it still do complex tricks if you get used to it?
@skate_oasis3 күн бұрын
I would say that is largely accurate. The smaller nose, wider tail and shape, and added weight of a larger board all contribute to making it a bit harder to flip and pop. There are some pros who skate shapes like this (Chris Hiett for one, who skates a Powell Saiz shape) and he seems to have zero issue with nollie tricks or flip tricks in general. I'm not much of a flip tricker, I do the occasional kickflips and heelflips fine. If you're focused on flip tricks, I wouldn't suggest a big shaped board but lots of people do ride them. Thanks for your comment!

@skate_oasis18 күн бұрын
Absolutley! The deck is a Landyachtz Ditch Life ATV-X. 9.75x31 with a 15” wheelbase and a really excellent shape! I’m an ambassador for them and if you’d like to get anything they sell you can use the code Skateoasis10 for 10% off. Trucks are the new Lurpiv 2.0s in the 160mm size. Wheels are Speedlabs 57mm/97a ‘Octo’ offset wheels - also awesome. And the bearings are Blast Skates interstellar alien bearings. Let me know if I can help!

just a fun fact. I feel kind of grateful and a slight sense of pride knowing that Lurpiv trucks are designed in Sweden, Where i grew up. Not the smallest country in Europe. but like some parts of Canada way up closer to the pole.
@skate_oasis18 күн бұрын
Yes dude! As a Canadian I've always felt a cultural attachement to Sweden lol. They are awesome trucks! Super simple but elegant geometry and really high-quality constuction. Thanks so much for your comments! Looking forward to your next one.
@janseger169318 күн бұрын
@@skate_oasis Perhaps you should come to sweden or at very least one of the majour citys. stockholm has many skate parks of all sizes both in the city and around the suburbs. I would suggest High walley skatepark as one of the bigger skateparks. or in Swedish Högdalen(High walley). But even if your a seasoned and tough canadian . out door skating is less than great when snow and ice is covering the ground and pools and ramps.

I'm just setting up an old school (alva) deck and I was going to get them but went with a pair of Stage 4's just for the full old school vibe. I love the look of the Lurpiv's though. They remind me of old Motobilts a little bit. It's a shame they couldn't figure out a way to keep the manufacturing out of China. I'd prefer to support made anywhere else, but at least the quality is good. I'm somewhere where it's hard to get a good selection so it was only big brand options for me or the Lurpivs. Next set I may try them but I'm also tempted by a set of Trackers. Still made in the USA. Good review. Thanks!
