As a tuba player I FELT the spit valve one. The worst feeling is when you're clearing it between songs and the damn instrument wont stop leaking. Love the brass section with all my heart but it can get pretty gross.

As a trumpet player I am repulsed that we were shown as a$&holes………………………………………………………….. Even though obviously brass is the best instrument and all instrument that aren’t brass can go suck it.

Very real. I cannot stand middle school band. I am a second year player and have learned Clarinet in band but also play flute, trumpet, and drums privately and am losing my mind with how people treat their instruments. Flutes placed on keys, clarinet bells banged on stands and the floor, trumpets placed on the wrong side. We can’t leave our instruments in the band room before school anymore because of mistreatment of instruments that aren’t ours, such as percussion stuff, the piano, and the several thousand dollar harmony director. Students also bring in their non band friends, which is a huge issue because they don’t know how to handle the instruments. This is awful for orchestra because we share a classroom with them and they can’t put their instruments in the classroom before school. I feel sorry for the cellos, basses, other large orchestra, the bass clarinets, tubas, all saxophones(bar our baritone who was a huge part of the issue), and all brass aside from that one trumpeter who has a small and light case.

I did not get into this. Too much camera work took over telling the story. The story needed more structure.

My band when tuning: Tubas: pretty good except for the *very* low notes Euphonium: good or bad never in between (euphonium & trumpets 🤝 cracking notes) Trombones: they talk more than they’re in tune (but they they talk a LOT) French horns: sounding like a swarm of bees (is it even the same note?? 💀) Trumpets: getting struck by lightning is more common than all the trumpets being in tune Alto Saxophones: perfection (it’s cuz our saxophones are so good 💪💪) Soprano Saxophone: copy of the clarinet 🙄🙄 /j Bari&Tenor Saxophone: barely even getting the notes out (it’s the effort that counts 😭😭🫶) Clarinets: good until you give us those high notes… then we sound like dying cats *squeaks* Flutes: **music* *from* *scream* *intensifies** (rest of the band: *ears* *bleeding* ) Piccolo: Is something going on why do I hear screaming!!? wait no, it’s just our piccolo Bassoons: always sounding flat 🧍♀️🧍♀️ Oboe: also always sounding flat 🧍♀️ (bassoon & oboe 🤝 sounding flat) Percussion: always forgetting to tune 🤦🏻♀️
