I did it with a normal acoustic guitar and it was fun! And the bass you have sounds amazing! Were you using distortion or you had it unplugged and playing it acoustically?

I’ve always loved this syncopated bass line for over 45 years. Rutherford was a genius in elevating what was arguably a mundane chorus into something so much more rhythmic. Good work!
