Three months ago we sadly had an horrendous water problem in our bathroom which caused our house to be almost completed flooded. Industrial dehumidifiers were brought in and stayed with us for a good 2 months. Sadly we haven’t used our stove or living room since. Last night as the temperature has dropped we decided to use our stove and to our horrid is was covered in Mould and rust. Was this due to our flooding? The wetness? The dampness? The dehumidifiers?

If i'm using your paint for brake calipers, do I still need to cure it? I mean the calipers get hot when you're braking, so I'm wondering if curing is still necessary or they will cure as I brake

Hi Just wondering this paint naturally dries in air so what difference will it make to the paint if we cure it ???? does it become more strong and scratchless and give a fine satin look ???
@MrStoveBright2 жыл бұрын
The paint naturally dries in air, but it cures with heat. During the heating process, the paint becomes more scratch resistant and color-fast. If used for a high temp purpose, it will cure naturally. If left uncured, it may scratch easier.

Hi, we would like to paint our 1956 propane stove/oven for our vintage camper. Is this a safe paint for high cooking temperatures? We have been told that any paint will give off toxins when heated and that we should have the stove/oven re-enameled.

Hi, Ive just used this product and it looks great. I have one question, if I've cured the paint with a couple of burns but noticed some light coverage in a couple of areas can I do another coat in those areas without having to sand back and redo the whole stove?

I have a french fire-place that I need to repaint. It has large glass panes that I've removed so I can repaint the iron doors. My question is can I cure the paint with the glass in place or do I need to cure it and then replace the glass in the doors?

I have a homemade portable wood stove small enough to fit in a kitchen oven, can the paint be cured by that method?
@dougstras5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Bob here from Stove Bright. Safety is important to us. I have my cup on so let's get started. This is the most critical part of getting good coverage. You want to start by making a winding snake pattern with the jet nozzle tip. After a few minutes you want to put another light coat on by just spraying as if the overspray from the first coat has hindered your vision. The third and final coat goes on as if your nearly blind and your on the verge of passing out from the toxic fumes. You may find the you slammed your face into the wet paint when you passed out, but that's okay because at least you won't get sunburned on your face. You may also have brain damage from not using a well ventilated area and mask, but that's okay. Think of it as a permanent high that you don't have to pay for. We here at Stove Bright feel safety is important so make sure you're wearing your cup and knee pads while spraying in an airtight room. We've determined that the benefits of using Stove Bright High Temp paint out weight the negative side effects.

How do I cure m230 high temp sealant inside a fireplace?
@FeeleyBird6 жыл бұрын
This video was designed to show the appearance of the paint between each of 3 coats. Application of high temp paint is very different than general house paint or car paint applications. Done correctly you end up with a beautiful end result. Done incorrectly and the paint falls out. Thank for viewing our video.

Our paint is not rated for surface food contact. The problem would be splashing oils, you can't use degreasing cleaning products on the surface. Sorry.

@forresttechnicalcoatings39297 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing this information, I do not believe you have wrecked you smoker. I cannot speak for Rust-oleum. Our Stove Bright paint has not tested or rated for use on any food contact surfaces. The fumes and odor will subside as the smoker cures at any temperature. The higher temp's are the ideal curing circumstances. Good luck with your project.

I have a new electric smoker, about a year old. Do I still need to sand it down before I apply the paint?
@1drgalvez8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! Most of my stove pipe is still covered with a very glossy bright red paint, which I think will be very difficult to remove. After sanding the part where the paint chipped off, I want to paint the whole thing black or dark gray. What do I need to do to prep the existing paint?
@forresttechnicalcoatings39298 жыл бұрын
The stove pipe repainting process is the same as the stove. You must sand and remove any gloss from the paint for the paint to attach to the surface. Please go to our website for complete instructions. forrestpaint.com/stove-bright/stove-bright-user-guide/ Thank you
@1drgalvez8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the reply. I read the instructions in the link. I have about 6 linear feet of pipe with very shiny red paint. I understand I can just scuff it to prepare it for painting. But one pipe segment has heavy scratches all the way down to the metal. Seems like I need to remove almost all the paint from that segment. To do that, is hand sanding the way to go, or should I invest in an electric buffer and sanding pads? Any other ideas are welcome.
