Uh….i think the David Burt one has been recorded and slowed down. That’s not how he sounded.

If anyone here is on the fence about why Philip Quasts's 10th Anniversary concert performance is the best, watch the Behind the Red Curtain interview he did, in which he explains every manner of how he developed Javert's charachter through Stars - and that shou9ld tip you right over into getting it. Nobody has every matched that pure perfection (tho some have come close - Norm Lewis gave a great performance, but that's still a distant second.

Well, I have heard them all and they are all good. But may I say for best tonal quality and in my opinion the best version of this song, Listen to Daylon of "Lifein3D" sing this with his brother and sister. My previous choice for this song has changed and I believe the "Life in 3D" version has to be considered anoung the best.

Carl Anderson listen to the cry and growl he has in the last segments of the song, however Tyrone Huntley would come a good close second, its that pain in the voice when they sing How put down and forgotten we are.

It's Tim Minchin for me, though I admit I'm biased. I live in Tampa but this September my daughter and I flew up to Times Square to see 2 sold out shows of An Unfunny Evening With Tim Minchin and his Piano. You should check out Tim as Atticus Finch in season 6 Californication or Tim's 2010 Royal Albert Hall Comedy show backed by the 60 piece Heritage Orchestra or Tony Award winning Broadway Musical (also on Netflix) Matilda, lyrics and music by Tim Minchin, or the Australian TV show Upright, written directed starring Tim Minchin and Milly Alcock (House of Dragons, Supergirl 2024), or this year, Tim was commissioned to make the Sydney Opera House's 50th Anniversary video, or Tim's return to touring. 2017 Back! concert or...

Brian Crum is interesting. His riffs are well done and he has a great execution. His tone is cold and almost unwelcoming in a way. It's weird. Love him but something is off.

Was not expecting my socks to be blown off right from the get go! I love ABF already, but was not expecting that! I do agree though that this video shows well how often, less, can mean more. The simplicity in the original casts rendition or the intentionality of Gavin Creel is much more moving for me.

I saw Joseph at least six times in Chicago. Donny was and is still the best. It was the nineties. There were many Music stores then. It seemed all of them were selling both the Donny Osmond "Joseph" CD, as well as the Joseph CD of the Broadway production. Whenever my daughter and I spied a Music Store, we would look for those CD's and make sure the Donny Osmond CD was in the front. We put the Broadway version behind them---often backwards and upside down. We were sure we were doing a service to the customers.

Michael Crawford. He not only sang beautifully, he performed, acted wonderfully, he wasn't worried about "showing up" his voice, he adjusted it perfectly for the caracter drama. He was not just a great singer, he was also a magnificent actor.

All of them! They all bring something distinct to the role of Judas Iscariot, and they each sound concerned and distressed, as they should. My favorite is Carl Anderson though.
