In Belgium, the Moskvich 2140 was sold under the name "Scaldia-Volga M24" from 1977 to 1988. It was assigned the number M24. The engine typically produced around 75 horsepower. Thanks for your questions.

Cool. This model looks a bit too “generic “, or too much like a Fiat. I like the look of the later 408, with the “square “ head lamps. Still, a neat little car. Good video. 🚗🙂

I know this car from prototype pictures in the mid 80’s and back then it was a modern competitor for a Daihatsu Cuore or Suzuki Alto. I never understood why this car wasn’t sold under the Lada badge in Europe .
